Surprised and slightly disappointed

I am loving what Speeds doing with the club at the moment, dont get me wrong. I think were playing some nice stuff and even though the results arent there, the performances definately are!

Im very very surprised however, that we have added no players at all to this team over the last 10 days or so. Its obvious we need players and surely any old winger (for example) is better than none at all. Im not having a go at speed here, if he is restricted by finance then theres nothing he can do. Quality over quantity every time ofcourse, but we need someone and, at this stage, ANYONE will do. Everyone knows the problem positions as well as GS, just hope he gets someone in soon or our season could be dead before december!

Speed has just said that he's after a pacey striker. The acknowledgement that we're short here was enough for me. We don't want another you know who, so let's do the homework. Don't get me wrong, I'm eager for changes - but as long as they come in time to avoid the inevitable relegation battle, I'll be happy.

We must rely on the loan market at this time. It would have been foolish to bring players in at the beginning of an international break (and have to pay them) when we can't play them until Saturday. Maybe there'll be some action on Thursday or Friday.

I assume he's Filipe Morais. The following has been on the Official site for most of the day:

As is the risk with any short trial, you have to wonder what can be learned that will negate the fact that he mustered 8 goals in 110 appearances of journeyman football in Scottish football.

Have a look at what Dunc? 8 goals in 108 appearances, mainly in Scotland. What can we possibly learn in a short trial that will negate this?

It's the signing of (I know it's not made yet) pointless players who're no better (in this case surely worse) than what we have that has allowed us to squander all the Tevez / parachute payments. Is this really the best that's out there? Then let's not bother looking at him and leave the space open to Jordan Slew.

I'm happy to wait for the right players, as I said in my opening post.
