Robson - can't remember a player ever assisting a goal with his first ever touch before.

Sabella's first touch for the Blades was taking a corner from the same place as Robson did today and Stainrod headed it into the net. We lost 2-1 too!

A bad result tonight guys, but even WE lost 1-4 at home against Coventry so that maybe puts it into perspective.

Having said that, it is remarkable to see what's happening at the Lane, especially to such a big club as yours.

Most of us Donny fans expected that we would struggle badly this term and spend most of the season looking enviously up the table as the Blades stormed towards automatic promotion, leaving us to lick our wounds and hope to avoid two consecutive relegations.
And yet, look what's happened. We can scarcely believe that little old Rovers are joint top as we enter February. There is an amazing feeling of positivity coursing through our club, while the Blades seem to be spluttering out of contention even for a play-off place. Unbelievable really.

I do put some of this down to the Chairmen. We at Donny are incredibly lucky to have an owner like John Ryan. The fans have amazing respect for him, and this creates a really positive vibe around the club.

Your Chairman, on the other hand, seems to alienate most fans and this creates a feeling of negativity and frustration.
I actually thought DW was a good appointment for you, but I have to agree with what seems to be your majority opinion that he is not up to the job.
I do hope you turn things around because it would be great to have both our clubs challenging for promotion.

All the best from the pub team having a laugh!

didn't we get relegated the year after??
we didn't even start playing until Forte came on and we looked a different outfit BECAUSE WE SUDDENLY HAD MOVEMENT UP FRONT DANNY

I was pleased with Forte tonight. He was too nervous when he played for us in his teenage years and hope we will now benefit from his stronger mentality

Then the midfield looks much better because they have someone in space to pass to.......... Kitson/Porter up front  yer have to wonder about Wilson.

Fuck off

Im sorry but it was. im not ironically jeering the next time he leaps for a corss, im stating a fact from tonights finished game.

You've misunderstood me mate. I mean FFS he's made another clanger.

For thier 2nd goal i blame the absent tracking back. Long parried the ball out but the only player following up was a cove try player. Our players just stood and watched.

We need to realise Porter And Kitson are good but one is a starter and the other is back up.

Drop Doyle for Robson

Tell Flyn he can go down the touchline.

Forte to pull defenders and the cross field runs and we will challenge and play some good football.

Long was poor all game...the defence were almost on his goal line at one stage covering him as he was so uncertain. He nearly punched a corner into his own net in the first half when under little pressure and the first save he made in the 2nd was made because he didn't come off his line for the corner.

The boy looks shattered in confidence and,as Olle has said, needs to be 'rested'

Long definitely needs to be dropped without a doubt, if it damages him as a player that we drop him then so be it, he obviously won't be cut out to be a goalkeeper, we dropped Simmo last year and he improved quite a bit
And dropped long after the exeter 4 4 , he eventually came back, initially much better.

Tonight highlighted the problems that have been created.....when it comes to the crunch we just don't have enough. Going nowhere this season, get ready for more cutbacks and player sales in the summer. We haven't hit the bottom just yet.
No, that will be next season

No, we got relegated in 81, this referred to above was 78 79.

I actually have good memories of the old 4th division season :(

Was it a penalty when McDonald went clean through? It's got to have been. You don't just fall to the floor 6 yards out, actually. McDonald one on one, probably got a nosebleed

As much as it pains me to say it I do think that Danny has taken us as far as he can. He has shown we can play football, just not enough this season.
Time to go Danny boy.

You might think from all the moaners on here that most are anti Wilson, I think you'll find that the quiet majority know what's going on and still back Wilson for the long haul

I think we've seen enough of what Danny has to offer - dull monotonous football with no ideas up his sleeve. What you see is what you get. Last season was a smokescreen - spoilt by enough players way above their ability - but we've sold them all now. If this is the future, then keep it.

But none of it makes a difference - sack Wilson, get someone else in, find a decent player, sell him.

It's time pressure was put on the board. Though we can't actually sack them, it's time;

Sack the board, sack the board, sack the board..........

I tried at the end last night and I'll keep trying. It's coming.

If McCabe had anything about him, he'd get rid of Wilson now and bust a gut to get Adkins in while he's still available and while it's not too late to salvage something from this season. Of course, we all know only too well what the slimy bastard is like so we'll all no doubt be looking forward to a mid-table finish with Morgan in charge at the start of next season.

do you reckon?? i think the goodwill is growing thin.. the jekyl and hyde nature of that game shows that we 'are' capable with the players that we have. the question is why they are so inconsisitent.. manager??

i had to pull over when Mandy sacked the ginger whinger last year i was in stitches.. turned out to be a masterstroke.. real balls.

A good call. One of the few times a respected manager is available. Yes, very sensible.

Unfortunately, far too sensible for McCabe.

I would put money on that being the case. It will be semi popular for a short while, before more of the same continues.

He would perhaps inspire a bit of passion though. I like Wilson but the one thing I don't see much of from his teams is a bit of fire in the belly. Something I've always associated with Blades teams.
