He has to walk now, enough really is enough now.

On another note, how did the two new faces do tonight?

robson, who he signed, crossed in for kitson, who he signed, to equalise.

I think we are staring down the barrel at the moment. Wilson has run out of ideas it seems, and we seem to have a team full of journeymen, free transfers and players who have been signed to plug gaps of players who have moved on to better their careers. In my 28 years of following the Blades, I have never felt so depressed about the state of our club.

I dont really think its all his fault, but the decision to start Kits and Porter is obviously daft. On anothr note, how did Murphy do? I have been very unimpressed so far.

Murphy hasnt set the world alight for sure... another error from Long for their winner

To be honest I just think Murphy has had a bit too high expectations and probably would have coped a lot better with a team such as last years.

Starting with Porter & Kitson was a recipe for disaster.

I have no problem with either of those players individually. As a front two though that should never be anything other than a last resort. That appears to have been DW's first choice front two for tonight's game. Which, given the other options available, is extremely worrying.

Long definitely needs to be dropped without a doubt, if it damages him as a player that we drop him then so be it, he obviously won't be cut out to be a goalkeeper, we dropped Simmo last year and he improved quite a bit

where has this thing about kitson come from? genuinely never heard that before. the whole reason we are poor losing lowton, quinn, evans and williamson. massive difference shedding so many key players. selling blackman though - unforgivable. mccabe out

McMahon by far the worst player on the pitch tonight.

Forte is a totally different player to the one we sold. Looks fit, strong and fast.

Robson - can't remember a player ever assisting a goal with his first ever touch before. Looked good but can't see him lasting a 90min game.

Flynn absent 1st half good scond.

McDonald "started" coming into the game towards end but maybe he's the one to drop??

Royally fucked off as in the 2nd half there was only 1 team in the game. When the scored 2nd they could've then got 3 or 4 had it not been for long.

Oh well. Got a beer in my hand

Tonight highlighted the problems that have been created.....when it comes to the crunch we just don't have enough. Going nowhere this season, get ready for more cutbacks and player sales in the summer. We haven't hit the bottom just yet.

DW has to take some blame. Why, why, why does he persist with Porter, Flynn, Doyle. They are crap especially Porter & Flynn. Murphy is not as good as we were led to believe. Another Scottish 'let-down' like Flynn. MacDonald is inconsistent.

As somebody said earlier, worst team at BDTBL for years, years...

We'll be OK, we've got Mr MotivatorMr Motivator.jpg

Always said he looked right up for it didn't he?

Picking Porter and Kitson together was ridiculous. Cannot believe Danny watched the same game as me last Sat-di. But why play 2 slow cart horses up top any way? They both can hold the ball up, but together? Gash. Wilson's crap tactics and team selection fucked us again. Coventry batter us 1st half and we were lucky to come in only 1 down.

2nd half we come back into it, but why do we have to give teams a head start? Wilson's team choice did not help, but K Mac and Doyle can get a grip on the game from the 1st minute. Why can they only boss a midfield for one half. Why the fuck can Flynn only turn it on in snippets. Murphy is just another O'Hallarhan. Headless chiken with pace. We are pinning our homes on someone with zero composure. Kitson and Forte 2nd half showed some promising signs, but it was too late. Long needs a 'rest' too.

Unfortunately we have blown it. We could see the top 2 go more than 10 points clear tomorrow. No way this rabble will challenge for automatic. The players are just not hungry enough and Wilson does not have the answers. This will end the same way as it has done at all Danny boy's other clubs. We'll get progressively worse and then he will be sacked. It is a bleak, bleak time for United.

Bianco and Ollie has it pretty much spot on.

Aside from Flynn and Forte I wouldn't pay em a wage between them. Truly shambolic.

Midfield (central that is) is the absolute crux of any decent side and we simply don't have one at the minute.

Kitson and Porter together was laughable but given the tactics DW sent them out with it was clearly our game plan to have two horses up front to lump it to. Felt sorry for Murphy, never got the opportunity to be alongside the front lads as he trie to make up for the shambles next to him.

At one stage during the first half Kitson was playing left back and Porter running around our own box like some sort of retarded school child in a playground. No shape, no plan, just plain fucking bad from a coaching/management perspective. Why he didn't bring subs on at h-t is anyone's guess after that previous 45 mins - as bad as I've seen from any Blades side.

2nd half a definite improvement but lets be right - aside from the goal and Forte's shot at the keeper did we really create any problems for Cov? Not really. Got taught a bit of a lesson truth be told and lucky it only ended 2-1 at the end.

Also - just a note on the fans... I thought they were terrific 1st half. Got behind the players from the off and what did they give back? Diddly shit.

He looks pissed off, you'd be wound up If he looked chuffed, he may have made a mistake with porter but got his subs spot on, if we'd have got that lucky second goal then you'd all be talking about it being the turning point in our season. The difference, a mistake by a very young keeper

heh.. sorry mate but for the second kitson lost the ball in a really bad position and by the way he was holding his head in his hands he knew it.. what is all the glomming on long about. perhaps we should get williams back in.. if it hadn't been for long we'd have lost 4-1

yeah he weakly parried the shot from the striker who was through on goal after Kitson lost it:)
ok long hasn't been brilliant but there are bigger players with arses to fry Long is the least of the worries.. Doyle .. Flynn..McMahon and Porter to name four.

Agreed - Kitson dithered on the ball for too long and then gave it straight to their player to create the goal. Only slight fault from Long was where he parried the ball out to, but to say it was his mistake is a bit harsh.

Don't know what happened there, was replying to super_pig initially. Oh well :-D
