Dutch and Belgian games all been postponed https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/51428615

Bloody snowflakes ❄

I’ve already mentioned on another thread the wind speeds in Belguim and Holland are even higher than in the UK.
Tomorrow in Belgium and Holland it’s a constant 40mph with gusts up to 70mph.
In Sheffield tomorrow it’s showing a constant 25mph with gusts up to 55mph (the storm will be at its height from 10am whilst 2pm). Actually Sheffield being so inland, is one of the less effected places in the UK tomorrow.___the south of the UK and coastal areas will see a constant 30mph with gusts of 70mph.

I reckon Wilder and co will have a kick about tomorrow morning on the pitch and see if it’s playable.
At least Bramall Lane is enclosed (on 3 sides) so the stadium might keep the bulk of the wind out.

Unfortunately, its not Wilder and co's decision whether the game goes ahead.

It'll be the wind speeds at any inspection plus later forecasts when any decision is made, not 24 hours before.

Monsoon rain doesn't stop BushBlade posting from Indonesia so many t shouldn't affect tomorrow. ( It does tend to make him a bit snappy though).

Well it's pretty wild here in South Leicestershire this morning.....we were supposed to be traveling up yesterday and staying with the in laws but decided to wait and see what came this morning.....if the game goes ahead it looks like we will be watching on TV, no point in risking my children's lives for 100 miles on the M1....☹

I suppose a lot will depend on how much cover is provided by the stands. Feels more likely that it gets called off at this point. Given the travelling involved for Bournemouth supporters, you'd think they'd make an earlyish decision despite the forecast being a touch better later.

I think it will depend on the wind direction as to whether the gates can be opened and accessed safely.

I wonder if Decathlon have any weather-proof trousers in stock...

Surprised the club hasn't officially said anything yet tbh. Presumably some Bournemouth supporters will have set up by now given the journey.

Wouldn't fancy being in a coach on a motorway in this.

South Westerly Linz so will be hitting the back of the Westfield Corner and therefore blowing into the kop as well as funneling down Bramall Lane..

It will probably be statically safer than normal on the motorways due to there being much less traffic today.
However appreciate that even if there’s the smallest of risks then people won’t risk it......I’m pleased I live local.
I have friends coming to the match from Wiltshire.....told him to stay away from high sided vehicles...they are waiting until 9am then setting off.

Setting off from Rugby shortly. I’m not a snowflake but it’s clearly going to be a tricky journey up that there M1. I’m considerably surprised it’s going ahead. No rain yet, I’m sure that will bc add to the travelling joy.

One thing getting there, another getting back...

Just got blown over outside the house. Thirty five miles over the hills in this ? No chance !

The forecast shows the storm slowly slightly weakens from 12 noon.
Driving back there will be considerably less wind and only light rain from 5pm but it will more than likely be dark.

Does anyone know when a decision will be made?
I‘d have thought if it was off then a decision would have been made first thing......suspect it’s on.

I'm coming in on the 272 from Castleton in an hour, its windy as hell in Bradwell at the moment, dread to think what it's going to be like on the tops around Fox House! 🙈

I don't think a decision is made, the club are going on the assumption that the game is on.

Here in IM2 it has eased off lots so c 100 ISH miles to head to Sheffield. Just hailed for few seconds! Warm though 8c.
