Sounds like we're giving it a better go than last season.

Would be good to see them back fighting top end of the Championship.

Someone mentioned it earlier in this thread but being able to play games in a proper football stadium is a huge draw.

It does. A friend of ours has just signed for Plymouth Argyle because they provide free accommodation and arrange a part time job. Great deal. She was at Stoke City last season & the commute from Barnsley for training was brutal.

I’ve pondered that.

The fault for last season certainly couldn’t just be pinned on him. It was 90% board level negligence.

Thompson was a successful U21 coach before taking the senior role, so I’d like to think it’s as simple as the board and players rating him. But I’ve zero inside knowledge.

It just seems a bit of a reach. It could work but then again it could really backfire.

Sounds like we're giving it a better go than last season.

Would be good to see them back fighting top end of the Championship.

I don’t think the Championship exists like last year (%when we would have been relegated) but is now the lower division of the Women’s’ Premiership.
Hopefully a better financial structure.

Not sure this would work in men's football without huge societal change but you can have a pint in the stands watching the women next season

Oh yes!

Can also have a pint while watching the away games on your sofa, as probably mentioned before, but all WSL2 matches will be live on YouTube.
