Student Season Ticket

Right then fellow tax dodgers! It's like this...

I renewed my full price season ticket a few weeks ago now but since then I've signed up for a 12 week course at a college and found myself in receipt of a nice shiny NUS card rather unexpetedly. Does anyone know if I'd be able to get a refund on my season ticket or am I pissing in the wind?

Any response would be highly appreciated.

You could give it a go, but they'd require a letter from college stating that you're undertaking a full-time course which lasts the length of the season.

I'd start buttering up your lecturers now... that is of course, if they actually bothered to get in touch with college to verify the authenticity of any letter?

They haven't for a number of my mates who have continually exploited my GD skills for several years now!

With my extensive list of qualifications (I've just added another post-grad diploma ) not to mention membership of a professional body, I'm open to prompts, bribes, favours etc. to provide said verification papers.

I went for a full price one this year, as I chickened out - despite my NUS card not running out until 2014 (by which time I will be 35).
