£17m (which I think is what we paid up front) gets you an Oli McBurnie, i.e. a youngish lad who has scored 15-20 goals in the Championship. It gets you a Jarrod Bowen, Neil Maupay etc.

We haven't overpaid for McBurnie, it's just a lot of money for us as Blades to comprehend. I'm still convinced he'll go on to become an integral part of our team, he has improved a lot and gives us a lot of options. He's just not the finished article yet.

Mousse is now a bit worrying ...thought he be over a lack of fitness form game time etc... but he’s looking terrible atm ...

A goal may kick him back off again..and let’s hope that’s the case ... .....but not sure TBH what the future is looking like for the lad at BDTBL

Would like to see these two up front, McGoldrick as CF just behind and Berge and Fleck in Midfield and the normal defence just to see how we go.

I'm not a fan of seeing McGoldrick and McBurnie as a pair. It just doesn't work.

I see them more as different versions of a more deep lying striker.

McGoldrick is a link player and is better with a poacher or someone with pace.

McBurnie is someone who gets the odd flick on or runs from deep. He can get on the end of crosses but as neither of these two have great pace I feel they are wasted together.

McGoldrick and Burke or Mousset or Brewster gives you vision and a bit of pace. With Sharp he has a good finisher, probably best we have.

McBurnie I can see working with Brewster and I never got why he didn't get more minutes with Mousset. Though both have been goal shy I see him and Brewster as an option, also away from home.

I just don't think we have the dynamic right with the forwards we have and I don't see the same pairings as Chris. I don't see McBurnie and Sharp working much at all.

In fact if Sharp is confident then I'd like to see him and McGoldrick united. They did well as a pair yet Chris was all too keen to split them up.

Let's see who starts next but for me McGoldrick/McBurnie or McBurnie/Sharp just don't work as pairs.

Can I change my mind yet? He can’t finish for toffee and won’t get more than 5 goals this season.
