Strikers i would like us to sign

Seen him play at least three times, each time he's done nothing to suggest he'd be that goal scorer that would make a difference. Happy to be proved wrong, but can only comment on what I've seen.

Fair play, but it's always worth listening to those who've seen him play over many seasons, and look at the stats. What would we have made of any of our own players pre Christmas?

Ah, in one sense you're completely right alco, professional scouts are able to judge a player and decide if they're appropriate for the club they're scouting for.

Listen, it's not a case of being proved right. Buy the bugger, let him score 20+ goals for us plus a dozen assists, and I'll support him. As I've said a few times, we're all armchair managers, but it doesn't mean that my 45 years of watching professional football hasn't given me an eye for a decent player, or at least one with promise.

As an aside, just watched WBA's first goal against Cardiff - absolute cracker!

Just check Craig Davies' goal scoring record over his career. I think he averages 7 a season? At 28 he isn't going to improve.
