Good day out, first half we were nice and fluent, well taken goals, held my breath when Wallace took a late challenge,he had a good game
Second half,11 different players, not played at the same tempo,Duffy looks a bag of tricks, can see him quickly becoming a fans favourite
Can't take too much from these games but enjoyed it
Attendance just over 1600

So who didn't play out of the current squad?

Long
Fleck
Wright

Coutts
Woollford

Anyone else?

Didn't Wilder say afterwards something like that today's game has done nothing for him to change his mind of the transfer listed players?

Just listened to the full interview...interesting what he says about the 2nd half being a bit disappointing, and between about 2'30" to 2'42" he mentions a few players confirming what they thought,in not being able to take us forward...wonder which players he meant.

Highlight of the day was getting 2nd place in the half time raffle and winning a shopping bag full of bacon and gammon, which I then had to hold for the entire second half.

Some players looked rusty, McNulty looked like he wanted to be involved in absolutely everything which led to him been offside about 4 times but he didn't stop trying. Freeman genuinely looked like he couldn't give a fuck from where I was standing. J.Wallace didn't get injured! Dcl seems to be carrying a bit more bulk and still wins headers for fun

I know people say you can't read much into a game at Stocksbridge, however it's good to know the workrate was there. You don;t always get that in a game like this.

I like McNulty's second goal; he lifts it into the roof of the net rather than rolls it in where a defender can get back. Natural goalscorers do things like that.

Wilder "Duffy turned his ankle yesterday but was desperate to play"
This encourages me that the players brought in are of the 'run through brick walls' for the team ilk and not the modern day, I'll have a week on the treatment table with a twisted sock variety.

Didn't Freeman have a deal lined up to Portsmouth but it snag as he couldn't agree a settlement figure with us to pay off the balance of his contract?
