Don't understand how any fan can support his antics appealing to the ref all the time ! Yes he is hard donby by refs.
if he just got on with it he will get more decisions.
When he starts throwing himself around (and he does) refs just turn away as sometimes it quite comical what he does
and defenders love it as they are winning the battle when he throws himself to the floor (and he does ).
I'm beginning to think Heckie is a bit soft in tackling this type of behaviour, it's nothing new he did it in the prem too..
Agreed he gives it is best shot ! Needs to be more street wise ! He is mid twenties now so really is very nieve if expecting refs to fall for his exaggerated antics.
Sort it Heckie
Hecky can't polish a turd.
How many times must managers have tried to explain to McB that his antics cost both him + the team !
He should be fined for his post match rant at ref.
Does he think he's in a feckin pub team ?
There is literally nothing between his ears , so good luck trying to educate him Hecky.

Billy has often played shite in a game and popped up with a goal

There is absolutely no basis, at all, to criticize McBurnie based on THIS season. Infact if it wasn't for his form I'm not sure where we'd be, certainly not top of the league.
At least 3 totally unnecessary bookings leading to a ban.

Very true, likely his injury would have ruled him out v stoke anyhow, so works out well re the suspension. His aggression is infantile but part of his character and like you say five goals is a decent return. By comparison Brewster is passive almost lackadaisical in his demeanor. Personally I think he needs some of MCB's aggression, passion, whatever you want to call it, as he floats through minutes and just doesn't seem interested or on it.

I watched him for ten minutes one home game, just him, he was static, no movement, no runs, he just doesn't have the football brain, needed for the role he supposedly fills. One magic moment v Swansea and that is that for him. He's either thick or arrogant, if you can't learn the basics from billy sharp after serving an apprenticeship at anfield god help him.
Brewster has his chance Saturday

It's taken one game where we were shocking and he had a word for his teammate (and us all) with a toss referee for the sharks to circle.

I wish I could've put a bet on it, there's never been anything more certain.

When you are on 4 yellow cards and the game is over, the last thing you should be doing is speaking to the referee.

It's objectively a stupid thing to do. It has nothing to do with his performance in the game. It is indefensible.

I understand you and I do tend to understand... But as fans, we often complain that players aren't passionate enough - McBurnie wasn't that wound up because he isn't passionate.

The match was finished and he'd been subbed off anyway. He was one four bookings and in the midst of what might well be the worst injury crisis in the club's history. It really was the height of stupidity, whatever his recent form.

One booking for giving the ref some lip, two for jumping into the crowd and two for petty fouls. Subsequently at least three could have been avoided, in these circumstances he should be fined a weeks wages for every match he misses

Game was over. Cool it. It was a stupid thing to do, as his manager has confirmed.

Worth remembering that for one of the bookings he got for jumping into the crowd he didn't actually jump into the crowd.

Tbh, he's clearly got a rep amongst the referees, and I believe he gets treated unfairly during games..

But he's got to start helping himself with the bad decisions...

My abiding memories of the Green'Un is never covering anything that happened after the 80th minute and generally giving MOM to whoever scores.
Mine is the Blades Glory - Owls Down front page. I think someone on here might have it as their avatar actually.

There are two fouls there. Sure, one is more obvious and extreme than the other, but both are fouls under the rules of football.

If you get a yellow card for taking your shirt off after scoring a goal, surely someone taking your shirt off should similarly get a yellow.

I think they should use a weaker thread in the shirts, then it would be easy to spot such an offence.
Their defender is pulling so hard you can see Berge's body being pulled over resulting in all his body weight being twisted on his standing leg.

Injury.
