He looks like an explosion in an ugly factory.

But to be fair, he’s a cracking coach.

Hate Forest with a passion. But Cooper seems a very good bloke and speaks well (apart from “positive deficit”). Clearly a decent coach.

Think he’s also quite good looking myself.

Somebody once said that I look like my face had been on fire, and the fireman put it out with a hedgehog..

You've just got to laff, and give it back after crying in the toilets..

The trouble with stuff like this is that it bridges the gap with mental health. It’s all banter but it boils down to how it makes the recipient feel. I’m not saying Cooper comes on here I’m just talking in general.

I’ve given plenty out over the years before I’m accused of being a snowflake. But my point is that mental health has only been taken seriously since the turn of the decade really. There’ll be an incredible amount of people who have suffered for years for things like looks. I suppose my point is it’s worth considering how it makes the subject feel.

Luke Chadwick received a stupendous amount of stick over his career and only after he retired did he come out and speak about how it effected him.

Tin hat on.

He's a very good coach and seems to be becoming a very good manager.

As an ugly cunt I take umbridge on his behalf. Us uglies have to work so much harder for success.

I look like a 5 year old tried to correct a Picasso. Happy to see bald men classified (rightly) alongside other characteristic taboos that have emerged since humanity collectively lost its sanity.

Thick, ugly cunts commenting on the looks of someone far more successful than they will ever be because that’s the limit of their wit and imagination. Brilliant! 😂

I like Cooper. Spoke well after the game, sets his team up well. Out did us in every area of the pitch.

Wilder may have recommended him, but Forest paid a hefty fee to Swansea to get him, and we're a skint club the doesn't spend money/Wilder took it all. That's right isn't it?
Let’s face it, if it was a toss up between Slav and Cooper. We’d have all wanted it to be Slav. Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

I like that he hasn't tried to 'fix' if you will the things people get at him for. As been said on here with the money he's making he could have changed himself (tbh I think that always looks worse anyway) he'll be aware of what people say about him and while I'm sure it gets to him at times, how could it not. He doesn't seem overly interested in it.

That being said he's not the fucking God of managers and Hecky can out class the guy, he just has to do something different I think. Cooper and Forest seem to be able to get through us fairly easily.

Warnock looked like someone’s reflection into the back of a spoon and Wilder was no Burt Reynolds either...

Wasn’t Cooper out of work when Forest appointed him?

Pretty sure he left Swansea last summer and took over from Houghton several games into this season.

You're right, but he left Swansea by mutual agreement 2 months after we'd appointed Slav.

I'm probably thinking back to when his name was being mentioned and he was still very much under contract at Swansea after they'd finished 4th.

Wilder apparently recommended him as his replacement !
Maybe so, I'm just saying that he has inherited a very good squad at forest, he left Swansea as he knew that their money had ran out and he was set for a rebuild at Swansea, a challenge he neshed. He may be a good manager but it's still early days and I would like to see how he does at a club with less resources.

Came in after Hughton. 1st day asked the players what the problem was. Got answers. Sorted it. Simple.
He can be as ugly as Quasimodo and Iain Dowie rolled into one, he's still a future national coach in the making. Good luck to him. But not tomorrow night.

Pre-season, a Swansea friend was cock-a-hoop that he didn’t have to watch “Cooperball” this year. I don’t know what happened there but Forest have certainly gained from it.

I have a good friend who is a Swans fan and he said the same about Cooper.

Slav was out of contract in Qatar, and at the time a bloody good appointment. Cooper had 3 years on his Swansea contract and seem to remember 3/4 million compo package being talked about.

A lot would have seen Cooper as an underwhelming appointment. 1 year in management, and England youth coach.
Couldn’t disagree more that it was ever a good appointment, it was blatantly obvious it was to appease fans because he’s a bit of ‘a name’ in the Championship with huge wages. Our squad of players and the Watford, Fulham squads he worked with are worlds apart, it was not a good fit. Cooper on the other hand has proven he can turn around a losing mentality, and with limited resources (Swansea barely spent and he’s been clever in the loan market with Forest).

Cooper basically took the handbrake off that Hughton glued on. He's been fortunate to have Spence and Johnson as both look consistency far too good for this league.

The mastermind behind the scenes with Cooper is Dane Murphy.. he was the reason why Barnsley rose up out of nowhere for a season or two before they went tits up. His eye for spotting young players is top notch.

I think some folk are over reacting a bit in relation to the comments about his appearance.

As far back as I can remember, players and managers have been fair game in this regard, sometimes even our own.

Maybe it is a bit childish, but (and I mean no offence here as I am part of it) the culture of football fans and their assorted banter could rarely be described as mature.

He’s a right ugly fucker, I’m not sure what there is to disagree with in this regard. 🤷‍♂️😁

He’s also a good football manager, which I’m also not sure what there is to disagree with about. 🤷‍♂️😁

Steve Cooper is so ugly he looked out of the window and got arrested for mooning.
Steve Cooper is so ugly he got kicked out of the ugly contest as they didn't allow professionals.
