The trouble with stuff like this is that it bridges the gap with mental health. It’s all banter but it boils down to how it makes the recipient feel. I’m not saying Cooper comes on here I’m just talking in general.
I’ve given plenty out over the years before I’m accused of being a snowflake. But my point is that mental health has only been taken seriously since the turn of the decade really. There’ll be an incredible amount of people who have suffered for years for things like looks. I suppose my point is it’s worth considering how it makes the subject feel.
Luke Chadwick received a stupendous amount of stick over his career and only after he retired did he come out and speak about how it effected him.
Tin hat on.
Some of the stuff Cooper gets called is a bit embarrassing and some of the people who dish it out would probably not cope with it day in day out. So what if he's not Omar Sharif. He's a brilliant football manager.

Brighton lead the race for Steve Cooper but face competition
NATHAN SALT: Cooper, who has been out of work since being sacked by Forest in December, has made it known that he is determined to continue working in the Premier League.mol.im
We’ve hold talks with Steve Cooper

I would welcome Cooper but let's be honest. Brighton are Prem, he wants that. If that goes tits up Burnley are winning all the popularity votes and are now without manager.WUEDP?
I’d be happy to see the back of pisshead Wilder and his embarrassing dinosaur culture so I would.
Although this Cooper fella is no looker so he isn’t, hopefully he wouldn’t scare too many of the wee lasses away.
However, he seems to have a far better pedigree and would fit right in with most blades fans so he would.
All depends on ‘the project’I would welcome Cooper but let's be honest. Brighton are Prem, he wants that. If that goes tits up Burnley are winning all the popularity votes and are now without manager.
We're the last resort, again, I'd welcome him but I doubt we're the first choice.
Interesting take, but most banter is done with a wry sense of humour, some people don't just struggle with mental health, they struggle with a sense of humour, being born and bred in tough parts of Sheffield I (like anybody from Sheffield) I have a certain type of humour that is unique to "Sheffielders" and Yorkshire folk, whenever I visited our head office down south (Kent) in my working days they really struggled with my sense of humour and had to be careful as to what and how I said things cos' it upset some of the snowflakes down there, did I care ? nah!
I’ve always fancied you - from afarAre you saying we Blades aren't lookers? I always thought that I had a kind of mediaeval charm.
The only pull, might be where he lives and if he fancies moving? If he lives in or near Nottingham for example, it's much closer to Sheffield than a bitch of a commute to Brighton.I would welcome Cooper but let's be honest. Brighton are Prem, he wants that. Think Potter gets the job. My issue is we look to be replacing Wilder so we need to get it right. The only pull, might be where he lives and if he fancies moving? If he lives in or near Nottingham for example, it's much closer to Sheffield than a bitch of a commute to Brighton.
Where have you read/ heard this scenario? I haven't seen that anywhere?Seems like the new chairman will sack Wilder as soon as he is in charge.
Would prefer someone much better than Cooper. He got promoted via playoffs and spent millions.
Wilder has done this and so has Hecky to be fair too him.
Seems like the writing is on the wall that there will be a change. Just hope we push the boat fully out if we do.
Daily Mail… not the most reliable.Where have you read/ heard this scenario? I haven't seen that anywhere?
American owners- surely they give Chris til Christmas- insight into playing staff aleady in place, with a team of folk.
To dive straight in and throw a new bloke in charge be incredibly foolhardy, just can't see it.
People running away with themselves slightly.Where have you read/ heard this scenario? I haven't seen that anywhere?

If that is true it appears that the takeover is a certainty and CW is on his bike.
It also appears that the people responsible for the takeover understand football and we assume are prepared to back Cooper or he would not even have had discussions with them
Agree. When you’re the new chairman you do as you wish. We are his new business acquisition/ toy and if he feels he wants a fresh start then he pays the money and does so.People running away with themselves slightly.
That said most new owners like bringing their own managers in especially if they intend to run it differently to how it was before. It's a bit like buying a car but driving it to the same places the old owner drove it too if you don't!
I think Cooper can be trusted more with money for signings but otherwise I would agree. I don’t see cooper being much of an improvement. I would happily welcome a new manager as i don’t rate Wilder since his first stint and wasn’t a fan of the re-appointment but Cooper is a bit of a sideways step IMO.Agree. I just wouldn’t say Cooper is an improvement on Wilder and would rather us go for someone better.
But please not just a big name in the ilk of Rooney / Lampard etc.
