I’ve listened to his interview and quite frankly he sounded very tired and fed up.

Not much roaring going on

Just seen him near swillsborough corner hitting kids with a stick and taking their sweets off them.
Appalling. :(

To be fair, I listened to some of his press conference earlier and everything he said about us was very fair. Came across very well in general too.

Never had a problem with the bloke personally. His time with us wasn't great but we all know there has been enough of a soap opera behind the scenes at our place to test the resolve of most managers.

It's his football that I have found to be uninspiring, but even then he is far from the worst [Pulis, Alardyce et al] in that regard.

Obviously now that he manages that lot he will be fully drugged with deludamol within the month, so it will be fair game to rip him to shreds. ;)

He's done as good a job as could be expected
He's tightened them up at the back first and concentrated on clean sheets and then they've gone on to score a few goals and get a couple of decent wins

I saw there team in one of his early games and thought it was a very good championship team got enough to.give anyone a game ,there troubles been that most of these players haven't seemed arsed about playing but now it looks like they are playing for their places

You can't make a clickbait headline out of that.

I suggest "Bruce shows no fear in wake of Blades clash!"

So, basically a case of The Star talking complete bollocks again?

Mmmmm.....makes you think that although Bruce's time may have come and gone, he still manages to bamboozle owners like Chansiri.

If you have a moment read this article, it's quite revealing, and all we can hope is that it's premise still holds true, that Bruce is an outdated manager, whose limited repertoire of management skills once had a place in the professional game, but with the introduction of managers who actually think about formations and tactics he now struggles to come to terms with the requirements of modern management.

Of course it could be way off the mark, so the derby should prove to be an interesting mix of innovation versus die-hard values. Will the astute manager of SUFC leave the sty having taught wendy's new incumbent that there's more to football than guts and thunder? This, and possibly other revelations, will be laid bare on Monday evening.

Tbh Steve Bruce was a good appointment for them - probably the only good decision the tuna man has made. Yes he's old school but he's steadied the shower of shit the pigs were as they were quickly becoming a laughing stock.

I think Wilder already gave Brucie a lesson when we thumped his Villa. He even had better players there to choose from

and it didn't help him.

He may well have steadied the ship. But come Xmas next year when they are no better than mid table the natives will be restless.

He failed to get 2 Villa teams with double Wednesdays wage bill promoted (£61m v £29m last year. We were £19m for comparison). He was leading Villa to a relegation battle this year.

Is he better than Jos? Obviously. Is he better than Carlos? Not sure. Is he as good as Johnson, Farke, Bielsa, Monk, Neil? Fuck no.

None of that affects Monday, he's in the Honeymoon period and it's a big game. But I still couldn't be more delighted that he's their boss long term.

The best bit about Bruce is apparently he's managed to trouser 2 million a year out of the dolphin killer.

That guy really hasn't got a clue about running a football club has he!

I'm surprised no one picked up on his opinion of Brentford before they played them. Early on he was interviewed by an RS journo and he referred to Brentford as " a little club who have done well this season". Easily slipped into the "Massive" persona of a Pig within days of appointment.

Still you have to admire his media presence. RS "do you realise you are only six points off the play-offs Steve"? "Wow, is that right? Well we'll just have to enjoy the ride won't we"?

Never looked at the table? Pull me other knob Cabbage.
