What's more important is that the championship is littered with yesterday's managers , who if sacked will join the merry band of Gary Megson , Brian Laws , Paul Jewel , Alan Curbishly . Steve Bruce is a spent force .

Bodes well for us next season , and hoping we keep our stability , after a couple of bad results .

No manager will refer to Sheffield next season . due to us and S6 both being in the championship .

I honestly wouldn't be that surprised if they did. They'd never do it with Manchester but somehow our little backwater of 600k people just isn't that important nationally.

Bollocks to em. I'm confident that despite the Wendy claims of the Championship being the new Champions League, that we will hold our own,

Herein lies the problem, it's all a matter of respect. Until Sheffield the city pulls it's finger out of it's arse and stops blaming everyone else for it's ills and the football clubs themselves achieve something of note then this will forever be the case. Bruce, for all his faults, understood this at a very early stage and realised the only way up was to get the hell out.
 
No particular feeling on the bloke but spent force?? Didn't he get promotion for Hull just last season and walked away because he had no backing?
It seems like folk are saying spent force based on the fact he has not had instant success with Villa because of his record.
Typical impatient football fan comments.
I think he deserves some respect as well as some cosmetic surgery.
 
Bruce can fuck off and take Steve and his fucking horse with him!

Preston are only a few points off them lot despite not pulling many trees up regarding signings. They just talk silly bollocks.

I deliberately took the opportunity to refer to Bristol City as simply 'Bristol' while there was only one Bristol club in League football.
 
I suppose one difference with Bruce is that he did manage here. His first job and he obviously absorbed nothing about our great club, the city of Sheffield and our local rivals.

For that he deserves our utter contempt.
On the plus side he did keep that lot out of the Premier league and ensured they got a nice dose of 'Wembley heartache'.

On balance a full weight wanker but not a complete twat. Sound fair enough?
 
If it were us and we'd coasted through the season in indifferent ,inconsistent form just staying sixth never threatening the top two but the teams below us never matching our patchy form enough to threaten our play off spot then suddenly you lose a game that would have put you ten points clear of seventh and within a couple of weeks you are two points clear of seventh with the team below in undeniably hot form and with a game in hand coming up in a couple of days the whole club fans players everyone would be absolutely shaking in their boots

Got a feeling we are going to be in for a BLADES GLORY OWLS DOWN end to this season and I'm loving every minute

Congratulations. If we went out of the league I take it you would be fine with other fans referring to the fowls as 'Sheffield' also?

One of the lowest budgets in the championship. Grayson doesn't play pretty football but he's done brilliantly there.
