So even if Anel and Tanganga cancel each other out, there's no way we forked out anywhere near £14m on the other dross.

In summary...

Confirmed that it was catastrophic naivete to sack Wilder and that everyone bar the football staff didn't/don't have a clue what they're doing both this and last season. There's a lot on here that won't like that being confirmed but confirmed it now is . Knowing that for sure they need to get football experts to represent themselves asap.

Handing my beloved club to CoH was like giving a matchstick model to a gorilla.
They'd no idea what to do with it so they smashed it up.
How arrogant , to buy a business in a foreign country , of which you have utterly no knowledge or experience and then proceed to make devastating decisions , off the cuff.

Dear COH,

Since you took over, it has been (please excuse my language, I am angry and love my club) a fucking shitshow.

You sacked one manager, then sacked the other one and brought the first one back.

You have disrespected the fan base with your complete lack of engagement with the fan base, the lifeblood of any club.

You have engaged a glorified pub game player to sign players. This is professional football, it’s more than fucking data and playing the odds.

This might just be an investment to you, but it’s our lifeblood. We have been through ups and downs yet come back for more. We have made and lost friends through our love of this football club.

I know I am wasting my time writing this, yet I feel compelled to do so.

We are currently below our city neighbours in the table, a club that can’t pay its players and staff on time, and are expecting kids to do a man’s job, not because they are “ready” but because there is no alternative.

You are clearly wealthy and successful in your chosen fields, yet it’s starting to look like you know fuck all about football and fuck all about our club.

The thing that grieves me most is that even if you did sell, it would be to another fucking consortium, another group of anonymous people that care about nothing but the bottom line.

We are Sheffield United, and we will be after you’re gone, and after I am just a distant memory.

That's a signal that the owners are still looking to invest. They could have put a pause on the whole lot on the back of not getting promoted (PA would have put a stop to it had he still been owner)

I thought Bettis overall did okay, he pretty much confirmed what most of us suspected especially with regards to McBurnie not coming back etc. These owners are new to the game and they are starting to learn, a shame we had to have chaos of Selles for them to get it but here we are.

Despite what others have issue with, the thing I did have quite an issue with is lack of memorial for George. I get what Bettis is saying in terms of how do you measure him against other players of the past who pass away but George is one of the PL top tenners and a double promotion winner with us. I do think George deserves something to honour him at the club.

Agree, also to Bettis’ point about ‘how do you measure against others who’ve passed away?’ I think there’s a huge difference between a former player dying at the age of 75/80/85+ and one tragically dying at the age of 30 having been a fan favourite and only just having left the club.

Imagine doing a tribute and the club is seen to be at fault? It would come across as trying to pay tribute to something to sweep a issue under the carpet.

Slept on the revelations from that interview & although it’s now confirmed that we are being run by clowns……there is nothing we can do about it. We all have to try & forget about it & give Wilder & the players our full backing to stay up this season. Given the shitshow around our owners - it’s now clear that it’s unlikely we’d be able to get any other half decent manager right now. Am I convinced Wilder is the right manager ……..no - but right now - he’s got as good a chance as anyone to get us out of this mess.

No he didn’t. He said it was a collective decision, which means a majority vote, and once a decision has been reach they (the whole board) are 100% behind it. A board cannot function any other way or you get a half arsed deployment or a mutiny.

What is clear is that COH, as a group, were arrogant and naive, as I expected, and made some absolutely suicidal decisions based on limited context. What he did state was that COH has learned the lesson quickly and made a reverse to address the shot show they know they have created.

SB was instrumental in CW coming back because he knew CW was the only person to have a chance of sorting the calamity out and he could see clearly how it was falling apart with Selles assuming a role of just a coach and leaving the rest to COH.

As CEO he has one voice in a group of voices and investors. He may state his view and vote but if the majority go an opposite way he still has a duty to enact that decision to the best of his ability.
