Am I right in thinking Davies’s contract is up in the summer?
If so, I really think we should use this dead time of the season to give Faxon his debut.
Getting any first team minutes is incredibly hard for a keeper - it’s not like a young striker you can chuck on for the last 15 mins to give them a run.
At some point, if Faxon is going to progress, he needs to start a first team match for someone. This situation seems perfect to give him a game or two when nobody is bothered about the result and the pressure is not so great.
Davies has done nothing wrong, but I don’t see the point of him playing every remaining game this season.

If we reach safety it does make sense to give him and any others on the fringe a turn in the red, white and black just to see what we have got and as part of what needs to be a major rebuild.

After another game watching Adam Davies’ lengthy deliberations as to whether he should leave his 6 yard box every time a ball comes over the top, and his terror when being asked to not only touch the ball with his feet but to also kick it accurately to a teammate - I think we should be open to ideas.
