Did anyone play well last season? It was such a struggle. Scougall had a few injuries and Clough almost completely neglecting the height/strength issue didn't help. If Scougs is going to play there must be other players that compensates for his weaknesses. In a well balanced team I see no reason why he shouldn't regain the form he showed in his first season here.
Our record with and without Scougall starting this season:

Those stats tell us absolutely nothing about Scougall's contribution this season.
He's played 10 league games, and had a positive impact in one of them as far as I can tell. Game by game:
Gillingham (a) lost 4-0 - came on with 20 mins to go, when we were already getting hammered. Looked like a boy amongst men.
Chesterfield (h) won 2-0 - played wide. Went off after 69 mins. The consensus was he was our poorest player, though played out of position
Peterborough (a) won 3-1 - went off after 19 mins injured
Colchester (h) - lost 3-2 - came on after 84 mins
Burton (a) - drew 0-0 - came on after 62 mins. Took some poor corners and did little else of note
Rochdale (h) - won 3-2 - went off at half time as we reorganised. Indifferent performance
Oldham (a) - drew 1-1. His best performance. Laid on Done's goal with a clever pass (his only league goal or assist of the season). Missed a simple chance late on
Crewe (a) Lost 1-0. came on after 79 minutes
Walsall (a) drew 1-1 - came on after 72 mins. Didn't do much
Coventry (h) won 1-0 : came on after 55 mins and got kicked in the air a lot.
So that's 10 games, of which only 2 lasted more than an hour, and only one other lasted a half. He has one assist and no goals. He has played well once.
I see no case for a first team place for him.
