I know that players often play up to a camera or microphone, but this simple comment says so much about what currently exists within this squad, and it's all down to Nigel.
Yes, I understood what you meant about Diego. Lumbering anyone, let alone a youngster, with a weight of potential is silly. We've been fortunate over the years to see talented players at BDTBL - Tony Currie, Woody, Sabella, Colin Morris to name a few - Scoogs is one, Baxter, when he wants to deliver, is another, and as for Diego, well time will tell.
I suppose the cynic in me just hopes that what we've been sold isn't another pup. Perhaps that's unfair given the strides we've made since Clough was appointed, but we're a long suffering bunch, so excuse that part of me that gets behind the team while expecting some twat in a suit to pull the carpet from under our feet.
