This is not a rumour, more a hope and prayer.

Actually, Garvan I'm not fussed about too much, but I would love to see Stan back at the Lane.

Said a couple of players would never play for Ipswich again after the weekend's performance. Rumours earlier today it was Stead, Garvan and Alan Quinn.

Sure enough, the first two of that trio aren't involved tonight.

I'd take Quinn back, personally I rate him more than Steve or their Keet, and he loves it in Sheffield

I expected Ipswich to be a force to be reckoned with but it seems similar to the Sunderland situation, spending loads of money and after a poor start to the season keane will walk out after a couple of disputes!

I don't think Quinn would be an improvement on any of the current squad, but Stead would certainly be a more useful option than Sharp. Doubt he'd want to return to be 4th choice though.

Ipswich fans comments are interesting. Stan seems well thought of.

Reckon Stan played the best football of his career (post Blackburn) with us and will go and pick him up if needed. However, as it was Blacky who got rid so he's not likely to bring him back.

Shame
