Murphy should be 'promoted' to 10 or 11 (I suppose 11 would only be vacated by Baxter if he were given 9 or 10). I suspect that 10 will be left vacant for 'the striker', unless Porter is stripped of his number 9 and shunted down the list (maybe back to 21).

I cant be arsed to check, but are players in the same squad numbers as last year (with the exception of new signings?) as squad numbers are not released yet, would not read too much into it.....

I doubt it, I once had a blades calendar which I think I got for Xmas and by the time the year started I think about 4 players had left
That would probably be the 95-96 calendar. After Kendall became manager in Dec 95, he got rid of the following players betwen then and March

Bit like the Panini stickers – poor Kyle Walker, there he is in the England squad. Although I suppose if you aren't going to the World Cup, appearing as a Panini sticker might be some small consolation.

Pretty sure you can see Davies with 22 on his shorts (same as last season).
I'd suggest the currently vacant #4 would suit Basham or Wallace (awaits abuse as this will clearly be held back for the return of The Beard).

I actually made it full screen rather than tiny, now I've also spotted Porter (9) and Murphy (23) with last season's numbers.

Harry might be prominent on a few of those images but I wouldn't say he looks that happy on any of them. Some of the others are clearly having a bit of a laugh but Harry looks a bit sulky to me.

Had a dream last night that when the squad numbers came out 4, 7 and 8 were left vacant. When Nige was asked if 4 was left for Brayford he just gave a wry grin. 7 and 8 were left for two new strikers. Murphy had 16.
I expect 100% of that won't happen.

The thing about a caption compo is that you actually have to post the picture for the vision to formulate in people's heads - it's no good telling us where to go (many have tried, mind) most people can't be arsed unless you do it for them.

Anybody see that on the internet the other day wher a player of I think Ipswich had changed squad numbers and had said anyone who had a shirt with his name and number on but the old number then he would buy them the new shirt himself with the new squad number on it?
