Souza booed onto the pitch whilst wilder gets serenaded and standing ovations at old Trafford and Newcastle .But Souza is foreign so must be a twat.Guess what ? Both are underperforming.

Any coincidence how miserable the foreign lads have looked since he come in.But the back room team will be full of his mates and we will sign a load of British lads who love a beer.

Hope he turns it around this summer and I have a lot of faith he will. But the club is operating like a lower league side from the 90s.
Just when you thought you’d heard every bollox comment about Wilder/Utd someone goes and proves you wrong 🤣🥴🙈

Yeh exactly that.
He’s said many times there is a minimum requirement, which is maximum effort, working hard and being committed to the collective cause.
Souza and Anel have consistently failed on both counts for the majority of this season. Thats why they’re not getting plaudits from the manager.
Souza for one got plenty of love from Wilder initially and Anel was made Captain, they’ve let him down and they’ve proven not right for the much needed rebuild.

I was one of the many banging the drum saying we were missing a beat by not exploring the foreign market enough

However.... I'm now starting to accept the reality that we are a working mans club, not a glamour club and perhaps we do just click better when we focus on signings from within these shores.

Please give over with this 'Blades culture'
it's about 20 years out of date..
Football has moved on and unfortunately unless we change our mindset we will be even more left behind than we are now.
Yes we badly need a new owner but when one does come along we need to change the whole ethos of the club.
Maybe this is even what is putting off potential buyers..
We got promoted from League 1 to PL with it.

But you’d rather us go the Wednesday route?

Some people just don’t get it. It’s a shame.

Because he’s absolutely horrific.

He was booed for one bad pass.

This isn’t to do with Wilder or any manager. His performances have been terrible. He’s blamed his team mates and he waves his hands all over.

I would never play him again and sell him for any amount I could in the summer.

I was a one man band at the start of the season. Now everyone sees it.
And loves a whisper behind his cupped hand to any of the oppositions non English Speaking player, maybe says
(Get me a move to yours, im good tha knows)why do that almost every game I don't think there's many Portuguese lip readers in the crowd at the lane.Read my lips Fuck off Souza!

It's all a bit deep and analytical.

Souza is a very poor footballer and the fans have worked him out.

Wilder was a legend who turned into a mardy arse and flounced out. Some of the problems this season are legacy issues from his first spell in charge. I've not clapped him or booed him since he came back. The jury's out for me with him. If he stays and doesn't sort it out this summer I'll be booing him.

Hamer is from Holland/Brazil and looks pretty happy to me and he's flourished under Wilder.

I suspect Wilder has bollocked Vinnie and Anel a few times this season because both look like they don't want to be here and Wilder won't stand for that. With Anel we've no choice due to lack of alternatives. I can imagine both didn't like that but too tight if Wilder has had a go at both.

As regards the foreign market, you generally get what you pay for and the foreign lads were hardly household names. Souza at £8m has been a big disappointment. We could have signed a decent championship centre mid for that. I've said this before but I vividly remember McCall saying this time last year we were focusing on the domestic market, the fact we didn't makes me think that Hecky didnt want some of the foreign lads he maybe didn't know much about.

He’s not been here for 4 years.

If we decided that he was at fault why didn’t we change it. Or maybe everyone realised he wasn’t wrong and decided to continue in the exact same path.

If the club employed proper bona fide scouts that actually watched these overseas players play a competitive game with their own eyes then we wouldn’t be lumbered with this crap. Garbage is the worst example of the lot. Somebody within the club decided that because he belonged to Atletico Madrid and had played a handful of games for Croatia that he was our new number one goalkeeper. Same with Souza - he must be worth £10m as he played in La Liga for Espanyol. He helped to relegate them and the fans hated him though.

The club is run by amateurs.

That’s fine if that’s what the fans want as long as they also accept that we could never become an established PL club.

You've not seen the Wilder Out thread then??

Foreign lads under Hecky
Souza mardy and crap
Anel mardy and crap
Hamer crap
Foreign lads under Wilder
Souza mardy and crap
Anel mardy and crap
Hamer massive improvement

Nothing to do with race, nationality or liking a beer. All down to ego and ability. Fair play to Hamer.

You’re right but I think the game has moved on from passion being enough at the levels we are operating on.And i agree with you regarding the prince he is more to blame than anyone.
If that's all Wilder apparently has, "passion", it was good enough to get us to 9th in the PL with a tiny budget.

Has the game moved on in just a few years? You could get away with passion against Pep and Klopp a few seasons ago, but not anymore?

It does look like it.

If memory serves, wasn't the model to buy younger players, predominantly from Europe who would have resale value? If that's true, then last summer was an unmitigated disaster. Hamer is the only bright spark, but he isn't young and he came from Coventry. I like Diaz too, but we've only borrowed him.

Souza, Archer, Garbage, Larouci, Thomas, Slimane, Traore, Trusty. There's 8 players there and none of them are EPL quality. No wonder we sank without trace.

Brewster was a gamble that so far hasn't paid off. His fee and wages would have been accounted for. Hardly a legacy issue.
So far???!!!!

He's been here 4 years and scored 2 goals I think. He looks lost when he does play.

When you say change the “ethos”, can you spell out what that means?

I don’t buy into the idea that we’ve got the wrong one, or really that people know what they mean when they say it.

We can’t afford to compete at the level we’re aiming for. It’s that simple. Pep would fail here, and because of lack of money, nothing else.

All this talk or “ethos” and “culture” is horse shit.
