Agreed, but couldn't find the superior original.

Simply Red’s Picture Book album is a superb collection of songs. I’m afraid after a while it becomes fashionable to ‘not rate’ bands who in truth made great music in favour of a fleeting This Year’s Model.

Simply Red, Dire Straits and many others produced wonderful music whether it’s trendy to like them or not. Personally I’m old enough and robust enough to listen to quality music from the latterly unfashionable rather than pretend to like modern wank.

We're by far the most long-established and high-profile sporting brand
the world has ever seen
And it's Sheff United.... Sheff United FC.... etc etc

I once met Ian Kirkham and sat talking music for an hour or so. Nice bloke, who knew his stuff. What I didn't realise until talking to him was that Simply Red as a group didn't really exist for several years. For a few albums Simply Red was just Mick Hucknall with different sessions musicians that he could get together.

Absolutely right. One of the regulars a Sheffield lad.

There's a ringing endorsement if I ever read one ?
Somewhat akin to some folks view that Lundstram is (or may become) a "credible" footballer ?

Sorry it was a bit blunt wasn't it? I was never the biggest fan of George, but my point was that not only did Bobby Lyle play on many occasions with George, he was also producer (often un-credited) for a lot of what George recorded as well. He made him sound good.

Oh eh oh, you're just a commuter

Oh eh oh, sat at a computer

Oh eh oh, got a better job than yooouuuu.....
