Haven't once looked like caning someone?
At least three times this season we have had 20+ shots on goal, several times hit woodwork more than twice, had innumerable pens turned down, had quite a lot cleared off the line and yet you say we have never looked like spanking someone.
Yes we need to be more clinical and a decent striker but to say we haven't looked like scoring more than one or two is ludicrous, and if /when we do beat someone heavily I think it will allow the team to play with more confidence.

Fact is we have scored far fewer goals than all the teams around us. That's a problem.

We have also conceded more, that's also a problem, particularly considering we always play with five in midfield and four at the back and have the "best keeper in the division".

We signed what seemed to be a "seasoned, center half" in Butler, what happened there then?

Don't care, the only thing I will remember in years to come will be beating Man Utd 4-0

Did you once support Wimbledon? Who did you support before MK Dons came around, being 37 and that.

I'm 37 and wanted my 2 boys to support a local team they are 7 and 10, so I started going about 4 yrs ago and I got hooked on live football.
I have been an armchair Liverpool fan since I was a kid and still am, but can never get tickets live and it's not exactly close.
I now go to away games without the kids but with mates and love away days the most.

Thank's for the answer Paul.

It's an awkward one. On one hand I applaud you for supporting your local team and also for taking your kids along. However the fact is you were a Liverpool fan and still are. I do understand you are going to see your local team play as well as taking your kids and that is great - hopefully they will be MK Dons fans first and foremost and in about 20 years when your core support is made up of lifelong MK fans I think your team will have a lot more respect amongst other fans.

However on the other hand you are the epitomy of the type of plastic supporter that MK seem to attract and the reason I despise MK Dons with a passion and hope that every club that plays you (MK, not Liverpool) destroys you. This is due to the fact they were born out of a club with true passionate fans from birth who had the heart callously ripped out of the club they loved. Any success for the franchise is a bad thing for the true football supporter in my eyes, at least in the short term. I remember going to watch United play you in the old Hockey Stadium and half the home fans had Man Utd or Liverpool scarves.

I honestly think it would be better for you lot if you dropped the Dons name too - MK Town or even MK Wanderers works as a doffed cap to your less than glorified entrance to the football league without rubbing Wimbledon fans' noses in it.

Hope you enjoy your trip to Bramall Lane anyway, just hope we tonk you (extremely unlikely).

Hmm okay I assume you mean the Gillingham and Orient games? I watched the Orient game, missed the Gillingham one. What's the other game you are referring to? In any case, 3 out of 26 times is still poor for a team of our aspirations to be really taking the game to the opposition. And in those 3 games, we haven't managed to put the chances away, and I don't see the players magically becoming more efficient.

Plus we've only beaten 3 teams in the top10 and they are the teams in 8th,9th and 10th and haven't beaten any teams in the top 7 suggests to me that we are play-off side at best.

Blade picker just wondered how you feel about London wasps moving to Coventry it is almost the same story as wimbledon, they both were homeless for 12 years before moving miles away, do you have ill feeling to the people of Coventry now someone else's team has been plonked in the city.

I feel sorry for the people of London and Wycombe that lost their team but won't despise the people of Coventry if they choose to go and watch.
As for being plastic I know Luton and Northampton fans that support Arsenal and spurs it's not unique to MK, lots of lower league fans support a prem team.

I'm sorry mate but they're plastic aswell,i can't stand that shit. What i will say is they do need to somehow get more money down to the lower league clubs but unfortunately that's not going to happen while ever plastics carry on going to support the wanker clubs as i call them,it needs to stop, your the ones funding the wanker clubs.

I'm not funding them as i don't buy merchandise and don't have sky sports

Wimbledon were homeless but still playing in the local area. That is no argument for moving a team miles away from it's heartland and history. AFC Wimbledon are in that sense homeless and doing ok considering.

As for Club Rugby union I don't care much for it. That said any relocation or franchising of a team is pretty shitty on the club's support.

As for being plastic I know Luton and Northampton fans that support Arsenal and spurs it's not unique to MK, lots of lower league fans support a prem team.

There may be lots of lower league fans who support Prem Teams but I would bet many that go week in week out have supported that lower club from birth or from their parents and just follow a prem club on top of that, similar to how I follow Atleti.

Also there may be fans of other clubs who have moved away and go and watch their new local side when they can't always get to see the team they support, just to watch some football and because they enjoy it. That is not in question.

What is unique about MK Dons is that almost all of their fan base is made up of such fans or the offspring of such fans. Like I said it will be another generation until you could claim a majority of 'true' MK fans.

Also there is something else. I love Sheffield United. My Dad and brother supported them and we lived a stones throw from the ground. I started going with them from an early age and Sheffield United soon became a massive part of who I am. It is a totally irrational passion, as we are shit, but it is, has been and always will be a passion that flows through me and will never stop.

I know there will have been Wimbledon fans like that. To think somone could come along and take my football club, my passion, my life away from me and plonk it 90 miles up the road with a new identity fills me with dread. That is why I can understand true football fans going to watch Luton or Burton when their teams aren't playing as they are 'real' clubs. I can never understand or sympathise with anyone over about 23 watching MK in the same way though, as it endorses what happened as above.

They sounded like a dirty bunch of twats and we still lost.

Good job we've got a negative manager, otherwise your would have been fucked, you were crap mate. We're both not going up,ok!!;)
Yep listened to the game on the radio we sounded crap but we only need 1 shot 1 shot we only need 1 shot (sorry) it was a smash and grab

Mr Robinson will be delighted this evening.

You won comprehensively at Leicester.

I've always had respect for Karl Robinson and his MK Dons. Hes always spoken highly of us when working on SKY etc.. But, Despite being a shitty little plastic club, they've always gone about the game in the right way and this could have potentially cost them promotion on numerous occasions as they never had that grit about them to win dirty... Until tonight. My god did they win dirty.
If the ref had any sort of consistency, he would've sent 3 or 4 of theirs off. Petulent time wasting and late, late challenges that went unpunished.
MK Dons will get a smacked wrist from the FA for having 7 booked and a sending off, but my god, it could've and should've been so many more than that.

I'm sorry Karl, you've gone down in my estimations. Maybe its just sour grapes and that was a fantastic dogged away display, or maybe they are just a horrible dirty side. Not sure.

Nah, tactically spot on.
Knows we are a bunch of pussies and won't respond positively to any rough stuff
knows that doubling up on the wide players cuts out our only viable threat
knows that we don't support the loan striker
knows that we are powder puff in front of goal
knows that we very rarely score in the first half so he can keep it tight and let the tension build
knows that he has players to bring on to change a game - that's why he left hat trick hero Afobe on the bench and started with the more wily and experienced Grigg
knows that the longer we are kept at bay the lower the confidence will be
knows that Murphy is our only real threat
knows that our top scorer has just got back to playing with a face mask and that he is not that experienced
knows that his team has the stomach to battle for the points and we don't

It was actually '1 shot, a great save, a bit of pinball and the ball breaking kindly' that you needed.

This. It's how good a manager Robinson is. He can hammer a team 6-0 and everyone expects him to play the same. He changes it and goes away to the favourite for promotion at the start of the season and wins dirty. I can see them going up.

I like the way he brilliantly lost to us a short time ago, just to lull us into thinking we could beat them again. Genius.

There's no doubt they've got a talented squad Wiz, which surprised me even more to see them play the way they did this evening, still doesn't alter the fact they went away with all 3 points sadly. As for your last sentence, your right about us, and as for MKD, fucking hope not, dirty cheating cunts.

I would stick to listening on the radio don't do and watch that ,its not football.
Who did you listen for on the radio 12 years ago ?

What I don't like is leaving the two goal striker from that game a short time ago on the bench all night, indeed bringing on an eighteen year old centre half and playing him in Higdon's position. What's going on? We needed to change it and didn't. We should have crowded the box after treating it like a no-go area all night.

Yes hes great how long has he been at MK managing in the Pub League 4 or 5 seasons and not got promotion
Nigels been here 12 months and youre wanting him sacked
Go do one !!!

The OP from Woodwardfan 'Manager Robinson has been there a few years and has a reputation for playing the game the proper way.'

The adjective 'Woodward Fan' showing an admiration for the 'Anti-football' individual known as Karl Robinson seems to be a contradiction in terms.

At the final whistle I watched to see Cloughie shake hands with Robinson. It must have been done with gritted teeth. Reminds me of the early 1970's when his dad displayed utter contempt for that other despicable individual of the era - Don Revie.

I'm hoping that last night will be this seasons 'Crewe last season moment.'
