If Manchester City purchase Stones at the asking price of £50m, this means that a very clever Barnsley FC will net a cushty £7.5m in sell on clauses......2 and a half times the initial £3m that Everton paid him for when they sold him.

That my friends is how you cash in on one of your fine young talents...

There are several top flight clubs meant to be interested in our most saleable asset right now.Now... I don't want us to part company with young Che because he is so raw and is utilised correctly he will bang them away.....I do think Wilder is the right man to get the best qualities out of the lad as well........

However this is something I want Wilder to address with the players who come in.....Let's not have silly clauses in contracts that allow players to leave if petty fees are met. Likewise if a contract doesn't dictate a cheap sale then for once lets play hard ball to try and keep a player and then if they have to go, let's make the purchasing team pay over the odds for once.

Also if we sell lets make sure we have these 10% and 15% written into contracts for the later windfall.

Do you really belive the manager is responsible for clauses in the contracts?

I believe a manager should have a pair of bollocks and say "Listen Mr Chairman, if you are going to sell one of my finer assets from under my nose.....you best cash in and make me some money to play with and replace him right away"

And Mr. Chairman says.. "There's the door"

Moyes claimed a few times the fee was £1.25m

We are run by total and utter fuckwits.

where have you been the last decade?
the number of English players that move on for over 15 m you cant count on one of homer simpsons hands
we could put sell on clauses on Che Adams , but the football gods will ensure he gets worse

name me one ex United thats moved on for more than 5 million , never mind 50

So instead of putting in clashes to persuade players to sign.

What people are suggesting is do what we did last year
And pay them more than what they are worth.

Seems we never learn anything and just want the club to repeat previous errors and pay out massive wages for average players.

So how much must Walker be worth, as he was probably the best player England had at Euro 16!?!?

For the benefit of the The_Green_Man and i understand that when we sold Walker to Spurs there was a sell on Clause. This was confirmed by McCabe (i think) not long after the sale.

However, we haven't seen the benefits of this as Walker looks settled at Spurs...

He will end up at Real or Barca

Real and Barca will both aim higher than Walker.

He'll stay at Spurs until he's worth very little, no doubt.
