Me an all.

I want to be back saying 'I was totally wrong and we are up'.

Anyone think I might be?

Didn't think so.

pommpey

Yes I think you will be coming on and saying you were wrong

For all the 'we might do this, we should do that' comments, replace 'we' with the Pigs, Udders and MK because they are in the same position, no worse position, than us. Despite losing half of our last 8 games, Wendy have picked up the same points over the same period, MK Dons and Charlton only 1 more and Udders 1 less.

I keep saying, remember 2006 where we went through exactly the same situation with Leeds and Watford, we went through a similar bad patch but they suffered the same problems and we ended up cruising home in the end. Yes, we had a bigger points buffer that season than we have now but there's no reason to believe that our rivals will finish the season any stronger than us. After 36 games, we are 2nd for a reason :)
All true and I seem to remember a large section of uniteds support turning into hysterical wrecks then as well , luckily the manager and team got us over the line . Let's hope this lot can because unfortunately it seems when the going gets tough many bladesfans can't cope

The going was tough when we had your heroes Alehouse and Blackwell in charge. Plenty of people who know about football knew what was going on and did all they could to get rid of these managers yet they got clapped into the pub league. The problems we face now going into the last 10 games of a hugely unbalanced squad with no pace where just one injury could cause mayhem and Cresswell our option on the left is because of the disgraceful mis-management of my beloved club.

Think you're confusing me with someone else as I've never ever stated Blackwell or Adams were my Heros but quite why you've gone down that irrelevant road only you will know

Agree, Jim. You'd think the ability to screw up was unique to only the Blades. There are some totally unpredictable results coming in now, and will continue as teams battle all the way.

Of course things could be better (watching Midweek Sports Special last night with their 'real-time' table shows what 3 points last night could have meant, Charlton would have been catchable for one), but the point last night may be seen as vital.

The trouble is, we've had a glimpse of second spot and anything else appears unacceptable. At the start of February - with Udders and the Pigs away to come, more away games than home left, we'd have taken our current position.

It could/should all change hugely in our favour on Saturday with us at home and the pigs having a toughie away.

But if the players and management team adopted the same panic as some on here, we really would be fucked. Keep the faith. Christ, it's not as if we haven't been here before.

Nearly a quarter of the season left. Plenty of ups and downs to come.

I reckon if the pigs were halfway down the league and posing no threat we would all be jolly happy!

A lot of it for me is seeing those twatnecks creeping up on us and threatening our 10 year superiority over them. It's the added spice of that that has instilled a panic in certain members of our fanbase. The mere thought of them doing us in the play off final is simply too hard to take.

I may not have put this into words as I would have liked but you get my drift.

Yep and some people (ex of this forum for example) still maintain that we were lucky to go up.

Let me draw this for you

Sheff Utd at home, 2-0 up and really, not exactly facing Man City. Own goal, soft goal, sending off and a penner + sending off which commites us to an emergency back four and an embarrasssing away showing against a side fourth from bottom, even drawing 2-2 is seen as an impossibility. Struggling to win against ten men of mighty Scunthorpe. And then more huff and puff against the fucking footballing Galacticos of Colchester.

Tell me we shouldn't be ten points better off B2L and I will agree with you.

On tonight's shit turn out, there's fuck all to be optimistic about unless we win at least eight of our rremaining last ten

I didn't think we struggled at all in the second half against Scunthorpe. The team line up for the first half didn't work and yes we struggled then. But I felt we outplayed them for the vast majority of the second half and could have had more goals. Playing against 10 men isnt a 'gimmee' either. Many times in the past we have pulled off good results when a man down.

One of the 'eight of the last remaining ten' was today's nailed on three pointer. It'd be nice to think we were still two points ahead of the shit, but now even our glittering goal advantage seems to be wilting now. Looks like the doom-mongers are having it their way, much as they'd like it not to be. A few weeks ago I enjoyed walking down the corridor to the desk of my pigfan colleague and rubbing his snout in the fact we were odds-on to shite all over their massiveness.

Imagine how it'd be if they went up unopposed and we fucked it up in the playoffs (as we do, as we do, as we always do ... )

Ipswich supporters used to think like that as they had failed as many (probably more) times than us in the play-offs. Then one day, they did it! If we do end up in the play offs, that could be us.

Optimism.

It may catch on.

I don't quite get this doom mongers thing. Just because we base or opinion on facts doesn't make us negative - just realists!

At the moment United will be in the play offs because based on recent performance Weds are doing better than us. Yes we are still 2nd-just, but there is a damn good chance we wont be come next Saturday.

I would have thought it more important to get the team winning again than whinging about fans for stating the facts.

As for the doom mongers not supporting the team that's bullshit, but continuing inept results/performances make the rose tinted spectacle brigade look stupid.

When at the game we cheer and urge the Blades on, but after its over we reflect. To hear some talk on hear just because we deal in realism doesn't make us ruddy traitors. I bet in 1940 many thought Hitler was going to be in London by Christmas but it didn't mean we were going to fucking surrender without a fight!

It's all the fans fault, look at the pigs their deluded fans always think positive as a result they have caught us from being 5pts adrift with more games played........... yer right.
Next the clapper brigade will be blaming us realists for Uniteds current shit form.

i must have missed something, just checked the league one table on my laptop and it says we are second and in an automatic promotion spot, i keep refreshing but it stays the same, internet must be down!!!!!!

Don't think metal blade or blade fisher have posted on here all season but funnily enough the last few days bfs nearly wore his keyboard out and metalblade add his always cheery thoughts on the subject

Yup Judge and you were saying everything is fine on Unitedite & BOM way back when Warnock was fucking things up lol, how we have moved on eh Robson, Blackwell and now we have a pig in charge who as history reveals starts well then usually fucks up every job he has ever had........... it doesn't get much better does it ?

I think that post speaks for itself but tell me how many times before yesterday have you posted this season ?

Ahh a change of tack for the master of the 1 line post, your view must be the correct one you post much more often than I do........... then again easy to rack up the post count with 1 line answers with little substance.

The Worksop's first home game of the season yesterday .....

Wilson has built a tidy 3rd Division Team there :o, pity he was out thought by one of Sitter's Van Drivers.

Which begs the question, why isnt Sitters running SUFC.

Oh, and the Lane is looking a little worn at the edges, tut tut MCabe

See you all Tuesday Night, though, the away day Beer Goggles will be back on, seem to be a lot better Team when worn ...... ;)
