How much do you think the loans in January would have cost? You think it would have been cheap to bring in 4 prem loans? - all with an option to buy (which you claim we never do).

Genuine question. Have any players successfully made the move from the Bulgarian league to one of Europe's 5 major leagues in the last decade?

Based on some very basic research they seem to have one who played 21 games in the Bundesliga for Darmstadt, one who made the move to Heerenveen in the winter and Gruev at leeds, rest are scattered about Bulgaria and a fair few in Poland (an improving league)

I really don't get the lack of understanding over loans. Premier League clubs will always want to farm out prospective talent to The Championship, a proportion of which will have a much higher transfer value than most Championship clubs can afford.

If we, for some ludicrously stubborn reason, are to decline those opportunities, how could we possibly compete with those continuing to take them?

What you on about? Yet another wind up attention seeking post.
Last year we received £45 million from Sky, this season it’s reduced to £35 million, so we’re already down £10 million.

Obviously the window hasn’t closed yet. You often find the best players have loads of options, so they tend to be signed late in the window.
Think United need to stay patient and keep chasing the better players, even when we know they’ll be late signings.

Also to be honest we already have one of the strongest squads in the league, so even if we do very little we’re still very strong.
I’ll be pleased if we don’t sell anyone…..to date only sold Vini Souza which is better than I expected.

Let’s wait until the window has closed before making a judgment, think there’s loads to happen yet.

This is what worried me from day one.
The point is we have not signed any free players and never looked like it.
We have not even tried as far as we know for a fact.
That being said the only one I knew about and rated was Dunne - and he appears to have done well at QPR - appointed captain.

The key being they would be proven at this level not totally unproven as all our permies.
TODAY is a key date as although contracts ended the month previous such as Brewster are paid to the end of July (or were last I heard and they will NOT lose benefits)
Plus obviously the best loans are generally obtained when clubs realize who they are going to keep not at the start but the end of the window.

People take the piss out of Wrexham but what them fans must be enjoying compared to 90% of clubs I’d love that to happen here.

Sheff Wed fans were exactly the same, loving the instant huge ambition shown by Chansiri. They loved the much needed investment
but I’m thinking at the time investment = gambling. The problem is there’s no gaurantee that any gambles will pay off….failed gambles = debt

Wrexham and Birmingham for that matter are gambling again, spending money they can’t afford and building up debt.

If either of them fail to reach the Premier league in the next 10 years they’ll become another Sheff Wednesday and no doubt everyone will have sympathy that they were owned by nasty foreign onward who used them to try and make a profit.
