Really? I recall plenty of fans were unsure (myself included). Personally it was the valuation that put me off. I believe the £18m could have been more creatively used towards the squad. (e.g. for the same fee/wages as Ramsdale+Brewster we might have afforded Foster+Watkins+one other)

Ramsdale and Martinez cost the same transfer fee.

Since you mention it I would rather us have paid £6 million total for a season long loan for Henderson rather than Ramsdale, c'est la vie

It is unusual for us to think Henderson would have come back when he wanted to oust DeG
He may have made a mistake but I don’t think he ever intended to be with us this season

That's not right, there were quite a few who had severe reservations about Ramsdale. I was one of them.
