I don't agree. I think having louder people spread out in several places encourages more people to sing. One group stuck in a corner means it's easier for the rest of the silents to stay silent I would

Not much singing from home fans at any ground these days.
But the most noise at Bramall Lane has always come from here.
Are they going to get Trevor and Simon to escort you into the singing corner?
Do you want a badgeI don't have any interest in music or singing. I have never sung the "Greasy Chip Butty" as I have never bothered to learn it. My son sing it regularly at matches.

For what?Do you want a badge
Why would I apply?Sorry, but you have been unsuccessful on this occasion in your application to join the singing section.
Snowflake.Fair play to anyone trying to take positive action to improve the atmosphere and for the club for trying to accommodate.
The last time I shared my wider opinion publicly on the idea I just got shed loads of personal abuse, so I’ll stop short of that, it’s another thing off the list of things that apparently stop people from making noise, so fingers crossed it contributes to working.
I'm all for it. Anything to improve the atmosphere has got to be a good thing. I sometimes try to get the "Sheffield United/Sheffield United" chant going on the Kop. Sometimes it works, most times it just falls on deaf ears, maybe they just don't know the lyrics!![]()
Another one?!
Why, when the BLUT has been such a resounding success??!
I remember you actively trying to get a singing section sorted for the BL Upper a couple of seasons ago. Didn't really work then, not sure it'll work now. Very few regular attending supporters want to sit/stand in that area of the ground - or they already would be doing so. Anything to improve the atmosphere is good in my book though. Never be like it was in the 70s and 80s though - but I suppose we have Sheffield Wednesday to thank for that, with the forced introduction of all seater stadiums.Well good luck to them, hopefully it works
Ideally that end of the Kop and the G block end will bounce off each other, and the middle joins in with either
But if we're honest, getting everyone at the back stood up should have already done enough for the Kop - but it's been very flat. The season has played a part, but it is the case
I'm just not sure the will and the energy is there anymore. Would be nice to be proven wrong
Embarrassing innit ? Song sheets at the ready. MUUULL OF KINTYYYYRREEE….So cringe. Is this really what modern football has become?
Last few seasons at the back of gangway C. Some determined lads up thereThere's a big difference it could make.
There's two areas at the back of the kop that sing most, one towards John Street side (behind me ) and the other further across back of the kop more SS side. Don't know where exactly.
Often these are singing different things, and both fizzle out pretty soon. All the singers together would help this.
And if course all the grumpy sods who complain there isn't enough, could join in.
Nailed it mate. Assuming you’re being ironic ?We could do with some young 'ultras' with a couple of drums, a megaphone, banners and flags, with a bit of scaffolding at the front of the kop so some nipper could tell us what to sing, would do well.
Maybe scaff' it up in front of the South stand too, so some middle aged organiser can use his megaphone to arrange the HT toilet queues and some nicely orchestrated opening of Werthers originals and hip flasks.
Scottish football have some excellent 'ultra' groups across all the leagues, and there's an interesting programme available on it on BBC iPlayer if anyone is interested.
Europe are light years ahead of us in this respect.
What’s the attendance figures , two men and a dog ?I think it's a great idea. Atmosphere has been dreadful for a while. This might help and kick off a few chants, that gets the whole stadium rocking. Even if it makes opposition fans sing abuse about it, that will spur on others to sing back. I created a similar section for my local Cypriot village team and it's transformed the atmosphere for the better.
Various we've had over 800 or as few as half that. What’s the attendance figures , two men and a dog ?
