From what I hear Wilder was resigned.to leaving since January and extremely worried he would miss out on his compensation should we get rid of him next season following relegation. He’d only receive around 25% of what he's entitled to now.

I've also heard that Wilder was alone in these negotiations, didn't look to get a deal for his ‘team’ hence the reason Knill and Prestige are still with us under contract.

That's pretty much what I've heard too. CW engineered the move. The JTW was the final straw. He's under an NDA though (that's what the wrangling was about on Friday / Saturday). Unless PA makes some comment (and why would he when he's insisted on the NDA) we are never going to know.

Wilder has a little bit of a track record calling out owners publicly. As he inevitably goes to either an established global club (Celtic) or Premiership club (Newcastle/ Palace) you can't go off like this when it gets tough.

At no point did wilder take any blame this season, every interview was the same we commented on that on here. His last few interviews were borderline embarrassing, even when we won he had a dig at the owners it was tedious and causing a division between the fans and owners

I read the comments the other day that Jim Phipps put out, I’ve since read and seen the comments put out by experts, ITK sources close to wilder and local journos.

Everyone speaks as though their version is the truth so it’s also wise to take with a pinch of salt.

However, it’s becoming very clear, when you tie all these reports in with what’s come from the Prince in the last few months, statements from the club etc, that Wilder was sold down the river by a delusional owner that thinks our spending and facilities are competitive, long term.

It’s true that we’ve spent what appears to be big money, but we haven’t kept up with wages. It’s clear we’re not competitive

So with this all in mind, was Wilder wrong to speak out against the Prince? Given everything we know about Wilder he wasn’t going to keep quiet. He’s been lied to and has seemingly given ultimatum to the Prince...

Sadly the Prince seems to have not heeded his warnings but instead cut his losses.

Wilder is confrontational, combative and disrespectful because he's dragged this club off its arse, making it hundreds of millions. This season has gone poorly and the owner is using it as an excuse to rip up the way Wilder has done things and criticise his work in the transfer market, which I'd argue has been brilliant over the past 5 years.

What I got from it is that Wilder was wrong to have digs at his employer via the media because Wilder woud’nt expect his players to publicly have a dig at him.

Not normally a Jordan fan but I agree with him here. Plenty don’t I understand, however he was a chairman and he understands the football boardroom probably better than most of us on here. The facts are there ..... Chris and the team did amazing and we all loved it. This year has been nothing short of a disgrace and yet I cannot remember one interview where Chris said it was his fault. Is it possible that “Ego” has entered the building and the simple fact is our last manager cannot accept sometimes you have to take it on the chin, change a few things and come back stronger. The definition of madness is as we al know to keep doing the same thing.... we have done it for 20+ games this season and yet the Prince is to blame. Accepting poor standards is always a downward spiral and Chris I feel has allowed that in. Fantastic few years and ones we will remember. Amazing how some people think the last 12 months can just be wiped away. Yep blame all round possibly but let’s just accept time to move on. Chris has!
