No this is not a discussion about your favourite sex position but where you'd rather sit. Me, behind the net. Why, because that's where you get a bit of atmosphere and that's where the characters sit/stand. You get a good perspective of the game not distorted by angles and therefore don't needlessly jump up and down and look like a twat when the ball hits the side netting. As a bonus, you also get a free whiff of skunk at half time. I've made a couple of forays into the SS this season but they are a right bunch of fucking drips in there.

My choice is largely determined by how late I get round to buying the tickets, if I wasn't so tight I would try the SS even with the drips just so my knees worked after 10 mins of sitting down

Behind the net on a steep stand near the back please.

Looking forward to going to Deepdale for the 100th time next season. That away end is ideal for me.

I'm a behind the netter, but with every passing season that Bramall Lane end goal is getting further and further away,i also quite enjoy he mammonth trek to the toilets from my seat at half time

Behind the goal, where the soul of Shoreham resides.

Might have said SS G and H at one time but that stand is now gentrified and sterile as fuck.

Charming!

Consider me a side-on.

I sit bang on the half way line in the South Stand and unlike the end-on "twats" who "jump up and down needlessly" for offsides, I get a perfect view. And within shouting distance of the linesman who apparently doesn't have a perfect view.

Away matches are for rowdiness where your view of the match is secondary to the day out.

Home games are for being able to adequately watch a match surrounded by normal people you don't fantasise about violently murdering from August to May every year (and the jack-in-a-box kids who have arrived in front of us this season are pushing it fucking close).

I'm completely unable to judge perspective from the kop, particularly in the BL half. I've often thought 'shoot' and then realised later watching the highlights that the player was about 30 yards from goal. So, given a choice, I'd sit where you are but my mates still like the kop, for the good reasons others have already mentioned, so usually end up there.

I think you're being a bit harsh on a very well-meaning body of men and women there, snoots, I am certainly dripping a lot less than I used to since the operation.

Behind to goal or away end of the South Stand would be my preference.

Anywhere else and there's zero craic.

Side on, high up. In fact Gangway C, row KK of the SS is very good. Close enough to the kop to feel somewhat involved, but far enough away to be able to look down on those dirty scallywags. And the view of the match ain't bad either.

Vs Scunny i was gangway B row J and i couldn't believe people would actually chose to sit so close. It's really hard to get a decent perspective of the game. It does however give you a greater appreciation of the skills on show. In particular the ability to pick out a 70 yard pass is very impressive

If you want to hear ridiculous shouts for penalties, it's 'aaart when it's not within ten feet of the touchline and to watch hundreds leaving ten minutes before the end, look to the Kop. Home to the poorly knee brigade , oldest swingers in S2 town who only sing because they can't take their banjos in.

My butler and gardener sit on the Kop and say it's low rent.

There. I've said it.

Oh and G and H block are louder these days.

SS rules. Err, no, wait.

Side on in the family enclosure because I don't tolerate bad words or loud noises.

Not all of us have the connections to sit in the director's box y'know!
;)

Next season I have relocated from my trusty seat in the Kop to the newly available for season tickets 'Westfield Health Corner'. I've sat in there a number of times before and the view is great.

I like the atmosphere of the Kop and always felt out of place in the SS as I tend to jump around a bit and can't help being pretty vocal but this season has got progressively worse where I sit with people walking up and down the isles for most of the game blocking my view completely. This and the fucking post that seems to hide an impossibly large portion of the game behind it.

Hopefully a few other season ticket holders will move up to the WC (Westfield Corner, not the shitter) so the it will have some atmosphere and it won't just be me jumping up and down like a nutter with no mates.

We have been going in the Westfield Corner recently, in fact we were quite pissed off they had closed it because of the Millwall yoof....I think it's a brilliant view from there and the atmosphere isn't too bad, especially as you can have some "bants" with the travelling fans...you do sometimes get the "tourists" in there easily identified because they wear tweed, haven't got a clue where to go and their kids are called Clifford or Timothy and have foppish hair...

The main reason we go in there is that my 10-year old can see sweet FA in the Kop when everyone stands up and i end up having to hoist him up to see which means i end up looking at the back of his head! We tried the family corner but that's more like a creche!

Season tickets are to be purchased this weekend for the first time and they will be in the WC.

Side on every time. Sat on the kop once this season and hated it. No legroom, everyone stands up when the ball comes in the box meaning you have to get up and no idea what's going on for 45 minutes. Plus some level 8 bell ends knocking about.

As a drip I'd like to say that I like the South Stand so I can get a pint before 90 minutes.

View wise it is better seeing both ends of the pitch surely, so side view for me.

Although I don thoroughly enjoy the daggers I get for trying to sing every now and again. Not much atmosphere on the SS but if I was that bothered about it I'd uproot and head to the Kop.

Love a good away day behind the goal though.

Side on, SS, bang in the halfway line (topside of directors box from Linz), sat there for as long as I can remember. Fantastic view all around. Made some great friends around me and it's my little home at BDTBL.

On the Kop. I just prefer it there, and although the far end is a bit distant I sit on row P and can see the whole pitch without a big white post obscuring the view. There are however some grade A dickheads on the Kop, especially those who think matches traditionally kick off at 3:05 and each half lasts 35 minutes.
