Should we mine Leicester for signings?

"They're arguably the best group of players in the division. What happens if they're slightly off? I'm not being disrespectful but a team who are expected to be in the top two from the off and they're not. I think it just shows you how tough it is in the Championship.

Certainly from a talent point of view, when you see their squad down on paper, that's arguably the best in the division up alongside Ipswich. They've been in the Premier League for a number of years but face the challenges of what teams do when they come down."

That was wilder before we played them at home. Whether that was standard manager talk for making sure the players didn't look past a poor team or he genuinely thinks there's players he'd like to work with who knows?

I think if he can get a few on reasonable deals that suits the club/budget he'll be having a look imo.

Monga would be the one but suspect he'll have better teams than us after him.

I know he's not Leicester's to sell but would be surprised if we haven't looked at Jordon James too.

I know im in the monority (and i appreciate why) but.... i still think McGuinness might be a good signing. There. Ive said it. Time will tell, but give him a run of games and some decent coaching anf there is a half decent player in there. Not elegant, not overly quick, but still a very useful Championship centre half. He will be a useful player for us i think. Chong on the other hand....
Agree 👍

There was a stat on SS before their game today, the team are in the bottom four eg. for metres ran, touches in oppo box, goals conceded, goals scored and all other major stats you would want a team to have, so serious doubts should be on any of their players.
Doesnt fit the Wilders really tough pre season fitter up for players.. i was reminded of that culture last Saturday.. Lunny i love this club i gave everything cant understand the backlash.. i dont like footballers making me angry through lazy lack of effort cant be arsed. So its a please no from me.

If it is certain that Harry Souttar will be fit enough for next season we should get him back with us. It is probable that if he had been playing for us for the whole of last season we would have been promoted automatically.

Don’t get me wrong, both Souttar and Hamza as Blades players were good.

Souttar, who knows what he’s like after that injury and stint out? Hamza has been in that squad weekly whilst they’ve stunk and he’s hardly dug in and battled.

Also on their salaries next season, no thanks.

They have some decent players who’ve not performed
I can see
Burnley Wolves Ipswich Southampton Wrexham Birmingham Boro all showing interest and more likely to get the pick of the litter

Fatawu (even though he’s a petulant child). Souttar (but he’s coming back from a serious injury so probably not) Monga if he’s available at a decent price. The rest can fuck off as they’re as spineless as our lot.

Not sure if they’ve got relegation clauses in their contracts (doubt it as they hadn’t when they came down from the premier league, hence Winks on 90K a week).

Chris Wilder had an interview for the Leicester job after being sacked by the daft USA lot. Leicester made a huge mistake not appointing him and would definitely have stayed up with that squad. A good 80% of the job is about man management and that's where Chris&Alan shine. Thank goodness they didn't go for him or we would be in Leicester's position now!

Love this, player has serious injury and you say "If it is certain that Harry Souttar will be fit enough for next season" - which psychic would you like us to use? Great player but we've had too many in this sort of position and it hasn't exactly turned out well has it? Wish it were different though.

Oh dear....must not laugh.... ha ha ha ha ha 😆😄😆😁
We did the same thing last year - so we operated on less of the funds this year. Just goes to show what a monumental fuck up the last 18 months have been when you look at the money we’ve wasted, signings we made and lack of genuine assets we now have (that aren’t our academy products).

The car crash of a last 20 mins at Wembley have proven very expensive.

They’d probably have sacked him anyway because expectations in august were for promotion, and it’s hard to imagine how anybody could have achieved that given what we know now.

That team has got relegated
The players have no bottle and are on upwards of £80k per week

That's like saying you wouldn't have any Tottenham players.

Teams can get relegated and still have some good players - Hamer was relegated with us for example. As were Souza and Anel that left for decent fees.

To answer the OP...
Mavadidi, Fatawu James and depending on injury Souttar
