When he first took over, I wasn't overly happy. There were better managers around (in my opinion) and that we had gone for the safe option till the end of the season.
Now Blackwell has done rather well since he came in and surpassed my expectations of him.
However, the results we are getting are only what we should really be expecting anyways, as we should have been pushing for the top 2 from the word go.
Are people saying we should appoint Blackwell because of the failures of Robson?
I personally won't mind if we apoint Blackwell, as I think he could lead us from this division. My main problem is, I don't believe he can take us from there to where McCabe/Fans want to be. The fact remains we had the greatest motivator around previously (Warnock) and he couldn't manage to keep us in the Premiership. Now another motivating manager is in the helm, how likely is it that he would fair any better? I'm not convinced one bit.
So my answer is short term, yes. Long term no.
