We have been self-identifying as the Shoreham Boys for years, and last year I went down that way a couple of time to Worthing, and went though Shoreham by sea on the train, and tagged myself in on Social Media at Shoreham station staring "Shoreham boys, we are here"

With the airshow disaster, I reckon it would be a nice gesture to recognise the place that we self identify as coming from, and show a bit of solidarity with a communist coming to terms with a disaster, by setting up a crowd funding appeal to help the families who have lost loved ones.

Anyone else think this would be a decent tribute?

Indeed we could - perhaps we could support the Worthing FC goalkeeper as an individual - the football family so to speak.

As a Blade exiled in East Sussex, I feel the need to point out that the two players killed on Saturday were members of Worthing United and not Worthing FC. They are two very different clubs.

Looks like there is going to be a lot of us singing it. Definitely in.

I'm in. Nice to do something for the Worthing players families. Saw an interview with their vice chairman he was gutted. Said he was used to being interviewed on football matters but not on this type of tragedy :(

saw him chewing , during interview was doing it to fight off blubbing I realised , must have devastated Worthing fc as a whole , losing players like this -
We could perhaps have a friendly game arranged with proceeds to the club
Id support any such a venture

Sometimes life just comes down to being in the wrong place at the wrong time and my heart goes out to them.

Bert also feels very sorry for all of them but for the life of him he can't see a connection between a devastating plane crash and Sheffield United.

Same here. my heart would go out regardless. Tragic

I'm in as well. Let's link it to the football club if we can.
