What was that from mcburnt arse

That Pen was atrocious. No crowd no pressure - time to show what you are made of. Gulp how bad...

CWAK will have learned a lot tonight.
Berge and Norwood can play together, with Sander in his natural role.
Two new wingbacks look comfortable, especially Lowe, who I thought was excellent.
Ampadu is good cover for Bash.
If Foderingham plays, we lose.
McBurnie is a terrible finisher at our level. He looks like a fish out of water when given a chance (imo!). I have very little faith in him at all at the moment.
New striker in soon or we may struggle.

I'd say Ampadu might start ahead of Bash.

Can’t argue with much of that. ^^^^^

Thoughts From left to right....
“Did he just do that?......did you see my pen....choo chooo...I’m 38 and just ran my bollocks you ffffff ...20 million?.......Why did’nt he fuckin head it?....can I go now?......He’s walkin home....There’s nowt under his kilt”

Tried to get this under the picture but failed.

I think the performance largely was ok. Lots of positives to take.

Penalties are a lottery.

Team v Villa for me...

Ramsdale

Bash - Egan - JOC

Baldock - Norwood - Berge - Fleck - Lowe

McGoldrick - Burke/Brewster
Thought Amps looked ok as well. Burnley did same as other teams vs us, get players sitting in their half and let us tap it side back side back trying to find an opening.
When they win the ball they hoof it as opposed to quick breaks on the deck. Loads of conning ref as well.
Berge looks as though he's going to be a top player. We'll sell him for much more than we paid. Not for a while hopefully.
Lowe looks ok going forward. Burnley had some room down our right though.
Still smarting about losing.

Jags looks like Mcburnie's mum as he trudges home late for tea cuz he forgot the time while out playing Wembley!

From the Graham Shaw school of penalty takers, run up hit it like a goal kick.
Graham Shaw certainly used to thump it but still didnt have a 100% record.
John Docherty had a good record with pens ,so confident he used to trundle the ball right in the corner which is out of a normal goalkeepers reach unless the has a rocket up his arse.

Peter Duffield was the king of pens
Yes he was excellent,I remember him scoring 2 at the lane against Portsmouth.
He was intimidated cruelly by a Portsmouth player it was visible to see but the ref did nothing ( I forgot his name but he was a real brute of a defender I think he finished his career at Sunderland and was on there coaching team ).Anyway Duffield wernt faized and scored both pens he showed remarkable control considering the intimidation he suffered..
Dave Bassett was manager at the time I'm sure he will have bought him a pint on the back of it.
From memory I think we were losing 1-0 at the time so plenty of pressure on Duffield.
