What were they doing?I’ve seen the assessments happening with my own eyes
Didn't we have one off Carterknowle Road or is that Abbeydale. How many training grounds have we had? I can think of 3 in my lifetime (Shirecliffe, Abbeydale and Warminster Road) plus I know of the Ball Inn ground. Any more?

It's already been mentioned that they would be building a brand new site on Norton for the Academy and they would update Shirecliffe for the first team.
.Leicester are apparently building a new academy which will cost 130 million, that is a staggering amount of money to spend
Used to play 5-a-side there on Fridays 5pm. It was as bad as others have said alright, then there was the arguments on who would retrieve the ball if it went up over the railings and onto the "viewing" area !Off topic but did anyone ever go in the old gym behind the South Stand? That was a strange place with the Victorian prison style walk ways looking down onto a tiny 5-aside pitch made from the old green carpet stuff.
We stopped using Ball Inn ground in 1981. We trained at Graves Park too.How many training grounds have we had? I can think of 3 in my lifetime (Shirecliffe, Abbeydale and Warminster Road) plus I know of the Ball Inn ground. Any more?

if you read the post you see i said no official assesment ( as in authroised and allowed by SCC) have been done, i can do an assement of the land but without a full ground survey ( which hasnt been done ) it means eff allDo on Wednesday (post 66) you confidently stated that 'no land assessments have been done'. After other posters told you that they definately had as they had seen them being done, you now state 'anyone can do them and they don't mean owt'.
That changed pretty quickly.
Are you a property developer in competition with SUFC to buy this land or something? The way you are so dismissive of this potential purchase for the club, and the way you stated that you would tell the club to do one...
I see your new around here, obviously your a big Blade, and not a Wendy at all...
I'm confident that if SUFC want the site, a deal with SCC will be done and we will get the site. If we do, I will be pleased. Seemingly you won't be. Why is that..? Maybe you work for the SCC as you seem to imply that you know a lot about this and what SUFC have or haven't done so far. Mind you I have my doubts that you actually do. We will see how this plays out...

im dismissive as the land should be used for housing not for a training ground for a private concern but if sufc did want to purchase i would want to ensure that what the city got back was as good if not better deal that can be cash or a better option would be a land swap.
numerous supermarkets with deeper pockets than us have tried to purchse the site due to its good location
i frankly couldnt care less whether you think im a pig or not the fact i dont have a lot of posts is because i have frankly more in my life your post count suggests otherwise youmassive prickbigger blade
But not enough time to learn some forum etiquette and proper grammar?if you read the post you see i said no official assesment ( as in authroised and allowed by SCC) have been done, i can do an assement of the land but without a full ground survey ( which hasnt been done ) it means eff all

Land surveying, soil samples, animated arm waving, getting wet in the rainI’ll ask again. What were they doing?
Topographic survey? Did they have an auger and were they taking boreholes?Land surveying, soil samples, animated arm waving, getting wet in the rain
Not seen an auger but they had the tripod equipment set up.If I remember rightly there was actually a couple of photographs put on twitter from nearly residents. The first drawing for the development were actually don’t buy a quite well known blades supporting artist/architect who might be on this site.Topographic survey? Did they have an auger and were they taking boreholes?
If they’re doing a topo and taking soil samples they must have had consent from the owners.
