I said on another thread i watched boro v sunderland and what i noticed they didnt like being harried at the back and couldnt cope with pace ,so ohare has to start to put pressure on them and campbell for the pace aspect

Really tricky to predict the score because

We’ve generally been below par a lately with Portsmouth being our worse performance of the season.
So plenty of reasons to feel negative…however we have loads of high quality players both in the starting 11 and significantly also on the subs bench.
Last weeks formation and tactics clearly didn’t work, so Wilder will no doubt try something different.
Surely these players will show signs of clicking sooner or later.
So regards us…..we could be anything from poor to really good..who knows?
And we do have players that can score goals from nothing, totally out of the blue.

Middlesbrough remind me a bit of Sunderland, they play as expansive open attacking style of football.
You always feel that if Boro click then they are easily one of the best teams in this league.
Their problem has been..they create chances but struggle to convert them into goals and they always concede silly goals..so they can lose to anyone.

Think it will be quite similar to the Sunderland home match…there will be spells where Boro make us look like the away side.
Wouldn’t surprise me if this is 1-1 but hoping we can win 1-0, like we did against Sunderland.

I'm sure Mr Wilder in training sessions betwixt games will have let it be known he expects quite a bit more effort, focus and team work than the Pompey game, Pompey played well seemingly had gathered they were in a precarious position , and had a week earlier given Burnley something to think about.

they also drew 3-3 at Leeds so can when at it be good enough to be a championship side
But by neccesity theres been a lot of changes and Wilders got to find the right balance , the quality is there, just needs to work out the best selection
