One of our best 1st halves of the season.

Normally we play like it’s a chess match and start slowly feeling our way into a game conserving energy.

But the 1st time in weeks we’ve started with a high tempo and look well up for it.

Boro have hardly been in our half, their fans must be well pissed off.

Then right at the end of the half they get a penalty. Think it was Robinson at fault who gave it away.

It’s refreshing to see us finally look like a top of the league side. Not created much clear cut but it’s been all United attack.

Huge improvement on how we have played recently but no let’s just look for anything possible we can slag the team off about instead. Never a penalty in a million year, pathetic decision from the ref.

Best thing that could have happened, we have to continue the same way as we did for 35 minutes now.
But it is no surprise that Middlesboro had zero attempts at goal, and were way down on possession stats prior to our goal

Since the goal they've had 5 shots, 2 on target and improved their possession stats as well, and all in ten minutes.
I wonder why that was?

Fantastic half of football from us, showed intensity, dynamic play, composure, creativity and effort. Everything that i’ve been whinging about they’ve pulled it out the bag. I’m happy to be made look a little silly if i get to watch more of that. The first 25mins were sublime. 10/10.

Much better first half after Pompey but we still got a goal through luck. There is some nice link-up play between JRS, Hamer and O'Hare but Cannon on a different wavelength. I thought Peck has looked a bit error prone. Enjoyed the comedy short corners with no plan. For all out dominance we looked all over the shop when Boro did put a move together. Our idiot CBs and their so obvious shirt=pulling was always going to cost us one day. Any doubt over Hamer, I'd take him off.
