I once read an article about Glen Nortcliffe who was (I think still is) the head groundsman at the Lane. It mentioned in the pre-amble about the opportunity ot take a penalty in front of the kop whenever you felt like it. I guarantee if they included that in the job description applications would increase dramatically:D

I'm not even remotely qualified. Sounds an alright job, though.

I suppose if Dean Hammond can make an appearance as a professional footballer, an office monkey who dislikes getting mucky could easily be a groundsman.

I want the job but I’m 33 years old.... I’d seriously go for it if they paid me minimum wage instead of the £75 a week an apprentice would get, and I’d be more enthusiastic and reliable than a millennial !

Apply for it then: In fact get yourself down to the Academy and speak to the Head Groundsman... NOW

Application in.

Love grass.

Not so keen on weed.

Get to sell bits of turf on EBay.

I too was interested, until I read the bit about 'Significant physical work'
Ooooh where's me recliner......

I've enough on keeping my patch of grass trimmed.

If you are 33 you are a millennial.

Not on your nelly, millennials born 1990+ id personally class a millennial as a child/now adult that has always had access to the internet either at home or school and never played knock a door run or kerby.

I’m 35 and I’d class myself as a millennial. I’ve heard it defined as anyone who was 16 or under at the turn of the century but was old enough to remember it. Semantics I suppose.

I know some millennials that work hard for their money, some who don’t. Just like any other generation really.
