Need to follow-up on Saturday's result and performance tonight. 2 wins on the bounce will really life the confidence. I don't think Preston are very good but I suspect they'll have some kind of defence and be more organised than Posh. And probably not play kamikaze out from the back, either.

Really looking forward to this.

I think the only thing certain is that it will be a tougher game than Saturday.

I hope at the very least for another enterprising, energetic performance, and no Jack Robinson.

I‘ve been a season ticket holder for years and rarely miss a home game for any reason.

However on Saturday I had some pressure to be elsewhere and after the Huddersfield good performance but lash minute defeat
I reluctantly decided to give the Peterboro match a miss……what a big mistake.

So now I’m so excited about seeing NDieye and MGW tonight. Are we now the “real deal” or was the massacre of Peterborough a fluke?

Who’d have thought it? We’re playing a night game in the rain agsinst unglamorous Preston North End
and I’m feeling as excited as though we are playing Man City or Man Utd.

I think we’ll win but I expect it to be a close match…my prediction 2-0 or 2-1.

thanks for being honest. 5 lashings instead of 10.

Can't make it tonight, so really chuffed that it's on SUTV for those of us in blighty.

Same here.

And yes, it will be much tougher. Expecting some proper shithousing from Preston and much more of a stop start game.

We'll be reyt though.

My main worry is how we defend Preston's set pieces and crosses into the box. I've never felt so unsure about how we deal with this type of threat before. Maybe the stats don't back up my fears so far but my perception is that we aren't coping well with this type of basic threat, just like we seemed so vulnerable to a long ball over the top of the last man last season.

There are a lot of Championship teams that rely heavily on set pieces and my fear is that we might not be able to out-score all these teams if we concede a couple of times per match.

Hopefully my fears are unfounded.

I get the feeling Ndiaye might be on the bench tonight - just reading between the lines of what SJ has been saying about how some players have struggled to recover etc.

The defending of the long throws at WBA a month back still gives me nightmares

I know I know ha ha

Ive been taking my grandson for 5 or 6 years. He started going when we had Adkins in league 1
and surprisingly he really enjoyed the experience and was so excited and nervous pre-match when we were playing the likes of Bury and Rochdale.

He’s been a season ticket holder for 4 years.
He was with me on Saturday at the family party watching the Peterborough match updates come up on Sky Sports News.

He told me that the most he’s ever seen United score is FOUR goals…made me feel even more guilty.
He’s already texted me to make sure I’m taking him tonight.

No, next 3 games = 9 points

Agree….we’re currently playing catch up.…so we could do with 3 wins from the next 3 games….
It would be a really boost confidence with many citing the uncanny resemblance between SJ and Wilders managerial starts.
Being close to bottom of the table after a few games then going on a great run of results shooting up the table.

Win the next 3 then we can resort back to average 4 points (win and a draw) from 2 games promotion target.

Remember that game against Preston where they battered us and we came back to win 3-2. James Thomas scored the winner. We did the same to them the year later I remember but it was 2-2.

4-0 Blades. Blades rage like a forest fire that may or may not be anything to do with climate change depending on who you believe. Message duly sent out to other Championship teams that the Blades are back!

Hopefully Burke and Brewster benefit massively from the MGW Iliman partnership

This is from the before the Swansea prices were announced but prices for the first two weekend of Championship games:

Birmingham City v Stoke City – adult away tickets cost £35
Bristol City v Blackpool – £33
Sheffield United v Birmingham City – £33
Hull City v Queens Park Rangers – £33
AFC Bournemouth v West Bromwich Albion – £30
Fulham v Middlesbrough – £30
Coventry City v Nottingham Forest – £30
Middlesbrough v Bristol City – £30
Derby County v Huddersfield Town – £28
Queens Park Rangers v Millwall – £28
Nottingham Forest v AFC Bournemouth – £28
Peterborough United v Derby County – £28
Millwall v Blackburn Rovers – £27
Blackpool v Cardiff City – £27
Luton Town v Peterborough United – £26
Blackburn Rovers v Swansea City – £25
Stoke City v Reading – £25
Preston North End v Hull City – £24
Barnsley v Coventry City – £23
West Bromwich Albion v Luton Town – £23
Reading v Preston North End – £20
Cardiff City v Barnsley – £19

Huddersfield Town v Fulham – TBC
Swansea v Sheffield United – TBC
I know its only the dingles but fair play to Cardiff and Reading I definitely think a fixed price for away fans should be in place.

Didn’t think billy would start Saturday and Tuesday but losing Ozzy is a shame as he had a chance to really stake a claim

Well, that can be solved by not giving fouls away in key positions.

A little know fact from Saturdays game was we only conceded 1 foul according to the BBC match website, and I presume that was the penalty Egan gave away.

Our free flowing, fast moving, keep possession football keeps the ball away from the opposition and as long as you are organised then, committing silly/stupid fouls in our third of the pitch is bonkers football.

Perhaps it's another area we are concentrating on and we should have learnt this from our two years in the premier League where players are much more careful with rash tackles in and around their own box so as not to give away set pieces.
