Expecting something akin to the Oxford performance tomorrow. Still need to show them respect though - they have some decent players, and could punish us if we give them a chance.

Should thrash them.
But fully expect to find it really hard to break them down as they keep every player in their defence third, finally scramble a goal and then sit deep for the rest of the game, hanging on for a very nervy 1-0 after conceding 4 corners in added time.

don’t care how…. A win at this stage is a win…. A deflection in off someone’s arse - 1-0 will be fine.

Not one to take for granted like any other Champ game. Play well and should be straightforward but no room for complacency and with Wilder, that's not something I often fear tbf.

I've not double checked but am I right in thinking that if we win and don't concede, then we equal or break the English record for consecutive home wins without conceding a goal?

This game reminds me when we played hartlepool once, we were top of the league hartlepool bottom, a nailed on 3 points, what happened 3-0 hartlepool if i remember. The point is dont under estimate anyone , play your strongest team and play front foot football, i think phelan will get them better organised and compact, we need to play well to get a win
Very true, it won't be a high scoring game ( we don't score many )
It's not a nailed on game, we usually don't play at our best against lower teams. Will be happy for a 1-0 win

If we don't concede tomorrow then we equal Chelseas record of 9 games without conceding at home.

We'll probably create loads of chances, still needs to put them away something we're pretty good at. No midweekgame a relief.

Looks like a no contest on paper.

The best* home team in the league versus the worst away team.

*based on points per game

Think Burrows could be our key player tomorrow,Brewster to score again.

With the games coming up over Christmas i don't think Souza will play even if he's fit, he's looking at little tired the last couple of games, so I think Davies will possibly get a start, obviously we can't underestimate Plymouth but maybe a couple more could be rested

Okay I would like to say we stand a chance but reality expect a defeat. Whilst we have players coming back from injury we will still have four out till January. Being a Janner maybe coops will do us a favour, although that won't help my bet with the bookies

Had most of this against Millwall, you can't keep relying on and repeating it
So, in November, Leeds score 3 against Plymouth, Norwich score 6 and Bristol City score 4. Surely this is the game when United have to make a statement of f intent. Brewster might even score a Hat - trick. 🤔 Would also be wonderful if this was the result that made the world realise that Shrek will never cut it as a manager!

Our approach is very reliable. Our intent is to finish top 2 and we’ve been making a statement to that all season. Our November points were better than all 3 of those teams you listed. We also beat Wednesday in November. Try harder 🐷

Leeds

Three points minimum from this game , with Burnley, WBA & Sunderland coming up, they'll put up a bigger challenge that will show where we are in comparison to our rivals

I think that ship has already sailed. I don’t understand why he keeps getting jobs and is a poor fit for Plymouth. In their situation they need someone to organise and steady the ship, not someone who can’t even organise their own diet and is so pussy whipped that Coleen has to keep telling him to lay off the takeaways

I honestly think club owners are enamoured that they can attract such a big name like Rooney to the club- knowing it will boost their profile. It can’t be anything to do with his managerial history?

Can't see him getting the sack whatever the result. In the last couple of months we have had out up to 10 players out at one time. Having such a small squad of recognised players any manager would be struggling. We have got Mike Phelan in as an assistant to help him and investors coming into the club so have funds for January. Let's see what happens

I think that’s completely true. “Little ‘ol Plymouth” have bagged a name over someone who can do the job. It’s an insult to their fans quite honestly

Been thinking about this, I think it's possible to lose to Burnley/Leeds and another and win the league.

I'm not saying we're flat track bullies but our consistency against anyone outside the top 3 or 4 is unreal, moreover than the others fighting for automatic.

Just remember Rotherham at home after Burnley.......we thrashed one and got humbled in the other...both at home, one at the top the other at the bottom.

Football is a funny old game.

Hope Coops gets a good reception from the Plymouth fans, sounds like they have good feelings towards him.

Should be a walk in the park but we've effortlessly avoided a few banana skins of late so you never know. I think they'll put up resistance but as soon as the first goal goes in that will be the game over. You just never know in this league though. We have a few tired legs out there. If they've got energy they could frustrate us.
