thats ridiculous. whats the point of any tackling if its an offence to win the ball. Newcastle player knew what to expect when he went in for that. or did i miss the ruling when premier league turned into basketball

It's not an offence to win the ball.

But winning the ball is completely irrelevant as to whether a tackle is a foul or not.

Why is this so hard for people to understand?

You could win the ball in a tackle and end someone's career.

In fact, go back and watch the Battle of Bramall Lane. Georges Santos won the ball in his tackle on Andy Johnson.
