Brave performance from the lads there. Hull as many are said are a very decent team under their new manager.

Credit where credits due, after a quiet opening 10-15 mins, Berge rolled his sleeves up and got stuck in which is good to see.

Bogle and Anel looked really good on the right... however on the flip side I thought Robinson and Lowe struggled on the left.

Ndiaye and Siri was a real battle and cancelled each other out, would be interesting to see them play together... maybe next season? 🤔

Another win chalked off, good to see the lads werent distracted by the off-field drama and good to see Oli Mac back on the pitch.

good 3 points but fuck me what a boring match.
Jebbo and Bogle had good games. Our possession though is so wasteful it's painful to watch. Hoofing and clearing the ball at the earliest opportunity just to hand the ball back to the oppo. I don't know how we keep winning but we are. Can't remember our last decent performance, worrying.

Excellent 3 points against a much improved Hull side , can enjoy the weekend now 👍

3 points is what it’s all about , hull will take some points off our nearest rivals on that display

Thought it was one of our better performances over the last 5 games or so... considering how much Hull have improved under new management...

Big 3 points..Hull gave it a good go and moved the ball well, but hardly troubled Wes tbf.
Well done to Jebbo for another good performance and nice finish,he's done enough to be a regular starter for me after recent performances, good to see.

A very hard thought win against one of the better teams we've played this season.

Good to see us start well and get an early goal again. Good plays by Ndiaye and good reaction finish by Jebbo. Hull slowly came back into it and the first half ended fairly level. We took a number of stupid bookings and were defensively lax at times. Started ok again in the second and while it was close throughout you felt we were more and more comfortable as the game went on, without really looking like getting a second. We gave so many stupid unnecessary free kicks away though, which was frustrating. On another day we get punished.

Wes - 6.5 - Made a very good early one on one save and showed some safe hands on a few occasions. His distribution, aside from a lovely pass to Bogle, was fairly haywire throughout though. There were a few miscommunication moments as well.
Lowe - 6 - Does well getting forward and likes to put in an early cross but also sometimes take and extra touch (as he did when Osborn put him through in the second half). Defensively naïve at times and got done a couple of times. Also gave a number of daft fouls away.
Robinson - 4.5 - I thought he looked an accident waiting to happen. Ridiculously threw Connolly to the ground and got away with it but constantly tugging shirts and finally booked. Got completely done at the byline and looked slow to react and outpaced. Gave the ball away stupidly as well later on.
Egan - 6.5 - Solid. Always seems to be in the right place.
Anel - 6 - Another stupid needless booking and he gave a few needless free kicks away again. He seem to head and kick the ball anywhere, under no pressure, which is infuriating. Did made a great interception at the end and did well going forward and supporting attacks.
Bogle - 6 - He's a nuisance going forward but made a number of wrong choices tonight. Defensively he was weak at times and gifted them possession far too often.
Doyle - 5.5 - Did some good things going forward and buzzed about wanting the ball. Defensively he was poor. Took a booking when he failed to track Connolly when Robbo went forward and then let another player just run off him. Seems to lack concentration and you could see he was angry with himself. Looked weak and slow getting back though and they played through our midfield way too easily. Our left hand side looked weak at times.
Norwood - 5.5 - Thought he was poor tonight. Slow on the ball and while a few of his Hollywood passes came off, as many didn't. Looked tired for once and looked to be struggling to get up and back.
Berge - 6 - Better. Did well on a few occasions going forward and actually busted a gut a few times defensively. Noticeably putting more of a shift in.
Ndiaye - 6 - Poor game by his standards but still assisted on the goal and looked lively on the ball. Lost the battle with Seri on a number of occasions though.
Jebbo - 6 - Good reaction finish and hit the target on another couple of occasions. His overall striker work is improving but still a way off where it needs to be. Lost the ball way to easily early on but got better as the game went on.

Subs:

Sharp - 5.5 - Used his nouse well and added a fresh pair of legs. Knows where to run and the tricks of the trade but for diminishing returns.
Osborn - 6.5 - Did well when he came on. Added energy and put Lowe through with a perfect pass.
Basham - 6 - Gave us a bit more stability defensively
McBurnie - 6.5 - Shouldn't have been getting involved in the sending off. Lucky not to be booked as he kind of stayed it. A menace upfront though and makes defenders work hard to win every ball.

Hecky - 7 - Set us up well again and another early goal gave us an element of control. I thought the subs worked well and helped us see the game out fairly easily in the end.

Hull - Looked impressive and fought well. They're a couple of players short of a play-off team, for me, but will cause a lot of teams problems. I don't think they have enough going forward. Seri was really cute and probably the best player on the pitch.

Performances recently have been pretty basic so not a hard task. Personally still thought it was poor from us.

Big night that

Pleased with the defending. Barely conceded a chance. But yet again we have to withstand too much. Conceding control of the 2nd half to the opposition, no matter who they are, should not be the automatic setting for a team in 2nd place

Not saying Hull were shit, they weren't, they were tidy and accomplished, which is why this was more satisfying than it could have been. But it really shouldn't have been so tight

Jebbison improved us for sure. McBurnie will improve us even more. Doyle looked a bit more like it. Points gained on WBA. As good as could be hoped for really

I posted about those 7 games from Blackpool to Swansea, saying 16 points would basically see us up. Well that's now 10 points from 4. So well on target

Funny how we see games differently. I thought Anel gave the ball away too much and that Robbo was our stand out defender. Agree with the rest thou

Harsh on Robinson. He won all his battles in the air. Another solid performance.

I agree. Harsh on Jebbo also that McB came on with 9 minutes to go and got higher marks than him. Jebbo was impressive, match winner and improving quickly.

It ain't pretty but we are hard to beat. Was struck by how many balls with Billy Sharp's name on them scuttled through the box in the first half without the great man bring there to bang them in. Pleased for Jebbo though. Surprised MacAtee's wasn't playing as he is in form.

hard fought victory v hull who played well, but im getting used to teams bringing their A game. as like a lot of teams blackpool for 1 if could raise their game against Rotherham & not just Burnley. they could be top 10. same with Hull 2 wins since world cup restart. & they played like that tonight

i really liked what i saw, great 1st half, but should have more than 1 so many great crosses with nobody getting on the end of them & also bogle was so unlucky. albeit with a dip in the middle as you could feel the stoke sloppiness creeping in, Jebbison had a great debut, should have had a 2nd when in 1 on 1. & unfortunately as much as we love billy sharp. alot like millwall in the cup, he got dripped finally had a forward presence. it showed

i thought atmosphere was much far better, Kop were brilliant. which is always weird trying to guess why it changes as there was as much riding on this game as the previous 2. but it was very quiet. we need to bottle today for the next 9 games

1 game closer to promotion but why do the last 20 mins have to be so stressful its like we cant string 2 passes together & we give possession away so cheaply, just allows stoke & Hull. to create waves & waves of pressure. we are very lucky we have held out so far

So Ndiaye doesn't get the assist because the ball touched a Hull player?

That touch did significantly alter the intended destination of the ball then, I guess?

Perhaps they believe he tried to shoot, or maybe pass back to his own keeper?

Seri played very well for them & linked play up well .. good player would like to see him in a Utd shirt ⚔️
