Nonsense though isn’t it? How is that an unnatural position? He’s got his hand by his side! FFS. Only United as soon as VAR comes in do we get shafted by it!

We’ve played really well, and was well on top, carry on Blades, we’ve got this, there’s a long way to go.

The handball rules are a farce. That one's a pen, apparently, despite absolutely no intent, but if you do some vague falling over gesture, you can deliberately handle it, no problem. It's a joke

If it was at the other end, we’d all be screaming for a penalty. So can’t really moan.

Those penalties are just really harsh on the defender.

It’s harsh because imho it wasn’t deliberate in the sense he purposely stuck his hand out. But his hand changed the trajectory of the ball in front of goal. I’m biased as fuck but would have given it

No complaints on the penalty decision from me. Booking seems very very harsh though
Definitely a penalty with the current laws of the game. Handball was always better when it was only handball if the hand moves to the ball.

The rules state it was a penalty, but the handball rules are poor (in my opinion).

Well the ref must have thought it was deliberate if he booked him. Olden days he would have been sent off (wrongly)

How can that be deliberate from that distance when his arms were in a normal position.

Agree it was a penalty with the law as it is, but don't know how anybody can say it was a deliberate attempt to handle the ball.

The handball rule has always been so easy to fix.

Just make it black and white, if the ball hits your hand then it's handball.

It instantly ends all debate and argument.
By the FA rules if he gives the penalty then the player should be sent off.

Don't know what was wrong with the old rule of only handball if the hand moves to the ball.

Let's be honest the rules now are more or less if the ball hits your hand it's handball. If that today is a penalty from a couple of yards away, then any situation where the ball and hand meet will inevitably be handball.

We do it cos we want United to win. A natural, automatic reaction, especially when a fuckhead like Diaz begins with the bullshit.
That said, Robinson has had a fucking terrible half and is lucky to not have a second yellow now.
Ahmedhodzic committed a blatant foul and got away with it, proof positive that ' the referee's a wanker. '
