John Reed
Sal Bibbo ....if we're counting the Anglo Italian Cup as a senior game, who's now achieved "Peak Unremarkable" since becoming GK Coach in S6.

What about obscure players who would consider us the final nail in the coffin of what was their career?

Adam Burley - left sided midfielder, played a total of 6 games for us. Does not have a wiki page.

Brian Launders - think he played 45 minutes for us

Jon O'Connor - don't even remember him at all.

Jean-Philippe Javery. 14 games!

I’d have said Mamadou Seck but the internet doesn’t think he ever made a first team appearance. Can anyone confirm/contradict that?
No, he didn’t.

Which players have played for us, and have gone on to have the most unremarkable careers?

Just one rule

1. Must have played at least 1 senior game for us since 1988 AD (Anno Deano)

I'm hoping we can populate this list entirely with people I've never heard of.

I'll start us off with Chris Bettney. Played one game in 1996, and had a career so unremarkable that his mid career stats are unknown

Not my competition, but minimum of 1 first team game gives too much flexibility, what about players with only one first team game, which could be league or cup?

I know, I could start my own thread :)

Memories of championship manager 03-04!

Was quote a few strange ones that season, Andy parking allegedly cost 250k and was released for free the season after but I don't remember him at all.

01/02 is still the daddy

Well he apparently played 13 times for us, however I don't recall him or any appearances, then went to non league for the rest of his career

I rate him as the worst player I have ever seen play for the Blades. My abiding memory is of Bury stuffing us at Gigg Lane in the League Cup towards the end of Bassett’s reign & Blount being the standout in a truly woeful Blades performance. He was absolutely toilet.

I can remember Warnock signing him in the January transfer window of our Premier League season. He said he was one with potential and signed for the future. He was 28 when we signed him and he never played.

Tyrone Thompson

Made three appearances (cups only) and was largely loaned out and then left to have a decent non league career

Febian Earlston Brandy played for a number of lower league clubs after leaving us, but in 2016 had a brief but prolific spell (4 in 8) playing for the now defunct Thai Second Division club Ubon UMT United. Apart from Kazim Richards who played all over the world I can’t find a more obscure one, though I’m sure there are.

Dress Bousata think that was his name winger came on sub, a few from Bassett era the excellent Alan Roberts Jon Moores Cliff Powell one from the 80s Steve Patterson

1 Davidson 2 Powell 3 Nicolson. 4 Blount. 5 Moores 6 Wimloa. 7 Hall. 8 Williams. 9 Bennett 10 Cullen 11 Bousatar. Pretty sure these all made at least 1 appearance for the Blades
