Send Norwood back!

Moore has to be one of the worst penalty stoppers I have seen. He moved well before the player kicked it every time. Making it an easy decision where to put it. I was nearly screaming at him to just stay in the middle! At least for one of them
 



I may be wrong, but i believe Moore has saved at least 2 pens whilst with us? Reading last season for sure, and there was one in L1 as well I think?
 
Incredible debut. Shame about our wastefulness in front of goal. We could've had double figures.
 
This competition is our only SEMI realistic chance of ever winning anything, and it is only a SEMI realistic chance at that.
I can't understand why some people cant wait to get out of the competition at the first attempt.

Norwood has come into the team, played well, then missed a penalty which could knock some of the stuffing out of him.
He might be just that little bit less confident now in the games that supposedly do matter

Utter bollox.
What you really mean is you are hoping he loses some confidence and that us Blades do not have a better season as your lot.

Obviously Wilder wasn’t Coutts’ manager the last time he returned from a serious injury but there is still the possibility it could take him all season and basically his impact will be minimal.

To me we now have two very good midfielders in Norwood and Fleck, meaning we can play those two with Duffy/Woodburn in the attacking midfield role and aren’t relying on any impact from Coutts.

If Coutts comes back and hits form pretty quick then great, we have extra competition but the key is we aren’t praying for his return to save our season or anything.

100% agree. It's no good hoping Coutts will come back and hit the ground running. CW recognises that and is getting more-than-suitable replacements in. It's called kaizen:

He had a great game. MOTM. Really apologetic in the post match interview in the Plat. Said that was the first Pen he’s missed in senior football. Nothing like timing. Brave to volunteer to take the first pen and he seemed genuinely gutted to have missed it. Has to start Sat. Oh and so does Billy!

I, and all those around me, had him as MOTM by a mighty margin. His football did seem Couttsyesque and yes, he was good.....very good. If he plays like that all the time he was a brill signing and could be the difference between an ok season and a very good season. Well done CW/AK .

This really is something. I guess we still need the players in the box to be taking the chances, but if we're putting decent balls in then its a start.

Norwood had an excellent debut...work to do on the training ground as we are very vulnerable to the counter attack.
Maybe we have to go 4 at the back as teams are cashing in on the spaces we leave.This will be remedied by working at it on the training ground hopefully

I always want us to do well in the FA Cup. But who cares about the whatever the fuck they've called it this season cup? Who even won it last season?
 
I was impressed with him last night. He kept up the tempo by actually fizzing passes into a players path rather than 10 yard simple passes to feet every time, which made it easier to get on the front foot in the game. Because we don't have many players who can beat a man that's what we need more of.

Good debut and hopefully a sign of things to come.

Chuffing Norah, I thought I'd seen the last of Kaizens when I left Santander!
 
If he takes a quick look at this forum, I hope he reads all the positive comments about him and not just the daft bloody title of this thread.

I was really impressed with the kid, just what we needed on last nights showing. It’ll be interesting to see if he can play with Coutts and Fleck in a 3, I’m still trying to figure how that’d work, but what a quality midfield that’d be.

Totally get that but if Coutts is fit and at the level he was - I actually think he will be, his game isn't based on pace and I see no reason why he can't return to last season's form after a a few games - then it seems a shame to not be able to incorporate Fleck, Coutts and Norwood but then we'll probably play Woodburn off Leon and I'm not so sure on Woodburn yet.

I’m sure the club would love to open all sides if 20,000 fans wanted to watch the squad players play Hull. Unfortunately they don’t.
