if it helps the atmosphere I haven't got a problem with it :)

They'll all be back when things are rosy again.

Well they will be 4 less around me, my uncles aren't renewing which means my cousin won't be having one and my brother won't be able to afford one again. And it gets worse, with no one to go with i might have to talk to you lot:eek:

Like you'd be welcome you little scamp ;)

Funnily enough, I was talking about this the other day with the pig fan at work.

When I first started going to the Lane, there were probably only about 9000 season ticket holders, the majority of "floating fans" heading to the then more successful team in Sheffield. Now, the pigs can "boast" a massive 17000 for a game whereas we are disappointed if we get any less than 22000.

Some people will buy a season ticket regardless, like a lot of fans on here have said. Others will wait to see if we're successful... buying match tickets game by game. Others might simply see if they can watch better football over on the "other" side of the city.

I don't see what could possibly induce someone to get a season ticket pre-season if they aren't sure. The fans will flock to us if we're playing decent stuff just as they always have done.

ill have a season ticket whatever. got nothing else to do on a saturday!

Depends on how much they will go on sale for.

I will probably renew anyway.

Depending on situation certain situations (nothing football related I may add), I see no reason to have a season ticket next season.

I would assume that certain supporters will be very happy if the number of season ticket renewals fall dramatically as it will give them the chance to bask in the glory of being such a die hard fan.

People's circumstances can change. I used to work weekends and evenings, so could normally only see Tuesday night matches. My only other option was to use my holidays. For the last 5 years I've worked Monday to Thursday and not at weekends. This means I have a season ticket, but does it make me more of a die-hard Blade than before? Or was I more committed to the cause before because I had to use valuable holidays up?
More to the point, does it matter?
