We'll probably renew. It has become ridiculously expensive now my son will be 18 when the season starts. I am putting it off as I don't have any confidence in wilder doing well next season.

I nearly didn't bother this season after the ludicrous Wilder sacking. It was obvious we were in for a season of struggle. That feeling was compounded when I saw the signings we were making. Depressing as you knew they'd be a long term ball and chain.I like to see teams controlling games and winning the vast majority which is what we already had so I was rolling my eyes already.

The entertainment this season has lived up to what a lot of people said they missed last season but to me it's a sign of a team that doesn't function as well. A few tweaks in the summer and we were nailed on, imo, so to take that away was heartbreaking given the inevitable repercussions. A slow motion car crash if you will

I think we're in the long term rebuilding stage now which will take patience, a lot of correct decisions and consistency in terms of the management and decision making. A very difficult thing to do in modern football with the associated pressures and myriad delusions of fanbases. McCabe/Warnock managed it before the 2006 promotion but football was a different beast then. I'll be renewing with expectations recalibrated. Anywhere above the buttom 6-8 will be a good finish. A play off finish would be amazing.

Looking around the ground on Friday there were lots of gaps, but it is a bank holiday and some will be away.
Looking at the poll 23% say they are not renewing, if that is any reflection of the whole fan base the owners should be worried as that is close to a quarter of our season ticket income gone. I don't think pay on the day fans or some silly singing section will make up the shortfall.

Doubt I'm renewing. It remains value compared to matchday prices for sure, but way too many times I've been and wondered why I bothered. Nearly didn't even bother leaving the pub once I saw Friday's starting line up. No sign of learning anything, no sign of progression, no sign of atmosphere, no sign of risk taking or sensible off field movements, no sign of entertaining football more than once in a blue moon - and frankly, with crickets from the board, no sign that any of this will change. I would probably renew if I knew we were getting a change of manager in the summer and I was in work like I was twelve months ago, but as not it's a pretty easy choice. Lots of other cheaper more exciting options for me to get my football fix.

Explains why most opinions on here are moronic, including the latest brainwave that wilder is the worst man at the club, and even though the board’s decisions on recruitment and Selles are clearly to blame for the failure this season, people still love to blame it all on wilder. The explanation being that 25-30% of the site don’t even go to games 😅

I agree with most of this, but not sure about the lovely stadium.

I think fans of some clubs are jealous of our stadium from a historical standpoint, and it's becoming a dying breed of old style stadiums.

That said, unless it's change massively in the last couple of years, it needs plenty of money spending on updating the facilities.

If I was in the UK I'd be going to watch the games, I suspect not many people are going for the whole experience though.

The away fans love coming to the Lane argument is more about nostalgia than any sort of jealousy. I’d compare it to going to Ninian Park before Cardiff moved to their current stadium. It was great nostalgia being in the late 2000s going to a stadium more fitting to the 70s/80s but I wouldn’t want to go there for every home match.

At least half of the clubs in the Championship provide better facilities for away fans than we do for home fans. I think the cost of match day tickets and season tickets should reflect the lack of investment in the stadium.

For retirement it's a great deal. I can't make the evening games as the trains are too unreliable, so i give those matches to my family. Financially I can well see the day ticket prices going up to £50, so I renewed Thursday.

My lad and I have had a season ticket for over 15 years, but next season although I get a senior, he is now a full paying adult and I’m not sure what’s on offer is worth the price. I’ve been going since 1970 and I can honestly say that I’ve never been so disillusioned and disinterested with the match day experience. A home game requires an hours journey there and back, arriving 2.5 hrs before kick off to be sure to get parked. I honestly cannot recall a memorable game this season, the side wards, backwards obsession is killing the passion I’ve always had for United.

I’m not fully decided but I think it’s more likely that I’m not going to bother

At the same time, I am so frustrated with the complete lack of composure within the defensive lines which results in aimless hoofing forward and losing possession, so I guess we can't both win?

Just remind me when Wilder took over and how many games he's been in charge of this season ?
Oh and his wonderful January transfer window.

I'm renewing despite the 5 hour round trip on public transport and staying in the Copthorne for night matches. Got really good seats in the JSS with nice people around me.
Try to get to Sheffield for about 11am for 3pm kick offs or 3pm for evening kick offs.
Meeting Blades mates I've known for years, good grub, good beer.
However, Mrs BoSS and I discovered the joys of small ship cruising last year and we'll be doing more in the coming years so will miss some matches.
I fully understand why some folk might not renew but I would remind them (as have others) that they can pay in 3 installments. Also, if they intend to go to some matches, they should get a membership which has some benefits, I believe.
