Haven't seen anyone state we should be hammering teams.
The complaining has been about not addressing the known problem before a ball was ever kicked in anger.

Very true Grumpy . IMO two top players in , and we would be walking this league . Without them , playoffs will be a bonus . Not negative more a realist . Adkins like Clough still doesn't know his best side , and are we are putting too much on Brayford coming back as a force, around christmas .

Is Adkins winging it or is there method in his madness of a plan . No idea , but how many are fully confident we will get a result at Oldham . On paper we should .

That board didn't have any ambition/money, they even said so Dave Bassett never hid that fact. This board has promised us the Premiership within 5 years - almost half of that timescale has gone and we appear to have not moved forward. I went to the 2 games you mentioned, in fact that season the bottom 4 all beat us, Chezzy did the double over us as did Southend. Fans weren't as pissed off cos that team were a team of fighters and you accepted the odd bad result.

again Adkins knows what we need , but its easy to define the need getting a quality player in to fill it isnot as easy
hes digging his heels in to provide players of sufficient quality, not just bringing in bodies

It's not bringing bodies in just to fill gaps.

Get lists of players from clubs who would do a deal, then it's over to the scouts.

If the scouts don't know then they are not doing their jobs and bin em off.

If you think that's a bit harsh then give them two weeks to scout them, it doesn't need four fucking months.

the problem is he wants championship quality minimum so is having to bide his time to wrestle them away and down a division

if players of sufficient quality arent prepared to come what do you do

hes after exactly what we need a big center back and a solid midfielder it just the getting them in through the doors

Championship quality does not mean league 1 quality / success . I would like to go down that path once we get there . I suppose its the catch 22 situation were you need special league 1 quality to get you out of the division and Championship quality to make you stop there once you are there.

Bournemouth did it , so i suppose on that vain , we should do it . Both clubs have top quality managers , so there is only one difference - Rubels / sterling / dosh.

to be fair Bournemouth got up by scoring goals rather than defending a bit like Adkins is going for, winning 3-2 is as good enough to get 3 points as 3-0 is the key is to always get one more than them
