Only problem with results like these are they start to mask some of Adkins mistakes. Criminal to be starting McEveley and Woolford.

A 5 year old could have told him we should be starting Kieron Wallace and Campbell Ryce in those positions. Good to win but because of that these things won't be talked about.

I would have taken a few more losses it meant we were able to be in a position to replace him.

Are you really sure your not Gary Megson
Ive seen some graceless , negative posts on here but this is beyond what Id expect from the biggest snort beast fans like the Wisewood wally

mo men tum
builds in a crescendo
7 points from 9 , no matter the ugly nature is the push start we need to get us up and running
the moaners and dounters can sit around all Christmas saying humbug
Barney can open his SWFC annual on xmas morning
I will be in a festive mood as we are moving forward ,, and just in time

Barney! Do you even think what you put? Only you could find a problem with Adkins in three 1 nil victories in a row.

I thought Jay McEveley actually had a very solid game today, however I went to the match and I'm guessing you listened to it on the radio so I'll bow down to your assessment

He shouldn't have played based on past performances.

That was the point you obviously missed.

we all do realise we beat Wigan we move to within 1 point of them and some had them as certs for promotion
alters all the predictions ,
we could draw next week and move up or win and stay where we are as the fixtures are laid out , so we still have to look into the long term to look well placed

Not been today but happy with that result, and another clean sheet..hopefully Nige will keep tweaking the line up to make us a bit more potent in an attacking sense and keep us in contention until the new year, where we can bring in a few...UTB!

Well, swipe me with a jaffle-iron, aren't you the little ray of sunshine. We can't get more than three points a game despite how many FIFA/Football Manager/Twat In The Boozer experts on here could pick better sides than a manager who picked a side that won.

Negative barney why do you hate Adkins so much give the bloke a chance to put his own team out fans like you are why the lane is like a morgue sometimes !! why do you go when in your eyes its shit go back to the sty we don't want fans like you.we want supporters who get behind the team and that includes the manager.

I think the time has come to ignore him by replying like we are (me included) is encouraging him ignore him he will get tired.

He isn't the type of person that makes the lane so quiet as he is at Hillsborough!

Well slap my ass and call me judy, two league wins and two clean sheets in a row! and Billy scored in both, Merry Christmas blades!

I'm starting to think we could even overturn the overpaid numpties at old Trafford in a few weeks also! Its great to be a blade tonight!

We could do without blind optimists as well.

It sends out a message of mediocrity acceptance. And that's always damaging.

Ugly win, yes; gritty win, yes; will I take it, damn right, all day long!

Was it convincing? Not by a long long way. Against a terrible Scunthorpe side our midfield created absolutely nothing. If that injury time header had gone in this forum would be a very different place!!

Coutts and brayford created plenty today. Woeford was the one who really should be creating in this system but he is pants. I think the conditions on the pitch were far worse than it looked but JCR or Flynn would have been a much better option.

Can't understand for the life of me how Woolford keeps his place. Coutts and Brayford yes they were the only outlet we had, some good stuff in first 15 minutes, Brayford's crosses excellent. Our corners for a change were very good also!

Some idiots behind me sing 'we're shit at corners' when we had varied all the first 4 and all were decent. Edgar Hammond and Collins should have done better with their height. Our back 4 played very well today both individually and as a unit.

Relatively speaking yes they were ok! McEverley almost committed suicide, not long after we scored, nodded a cross straight to their man on the edge of the box....remember that?

How the hell they missed the far post header at the death I'll never know, bloody lucky there!

Spot on, in professional football the average side scores from about 1 in every 40 corners (either directly by a header or from the following phase of play). It feels like this season we have done pretty alright out of them

Interestingly Sitwell they were just to my right, we could have said hello! :)
