Scrapping between Blades at Wembley

To be fair Bradford, I did gain a rather hearty dislike around 2001 at the galpharm , i think we lost , 2 1 perhaps. Their skinheads were giving it large to our fans all game. Before that, I attended the last ever match at leeds rd in 1995, v blackpool. Warnock was the manager, he took em up via the playoffs i gather. Around 50 Blackpool fans were chased through the stand by a gang of shave headed brutes..but as the 50 Blackpool fans sang at them"have you ever been before? have you ever been before?". Clearly fairweather thugs out for a fight.
And yes, City`s fanzine city gent has deffo shaped my views on them too, though I do say they cannot all be bad.
Thanks hello - yeah, the City Gent, ain't seen that in a while, but know what ya mean - most of my City pals were goading us to win, for no other reason that they 'hate' Udders.

Given I've not much time for City (my family were Park Avenue, who interestingly have been promoted this season to the Blue Square Conference IIRC), their dislike of Udders has never really rubbed off on me...pretty 'neutral' if I was honest...

But all the best mate and thanks again!

No doubt for me that of all clubs - with the possible exception of Birmingham - we have the biggest collection of scumbags in our support. Saturday demonstrated all I need to know about the downfall of this country, unfortunately this large collection of scum choose to spend their wedge - and god knows how they afford it - on ruining the day for alot of people who just want to support the team and watch the match.

That said, I didn't have any major problems near to me but could see plenty of stand-up arguments, posturing, smoking, paraletically drunk, could hear constant swearing and the days of being able to take your lad to the match and expect nowt worse than the odd swear word seems to have long gone.

I was thinking that it was Wednesday behind Birmingham for thugs? Or did everyone else have their eyes shut when they walked up Shoreham Street last year trying to terrorize families?

I was in Block 508 and thought it was ok in patches - sort of followed alongside our attacking.

It seemed tough to start up any singing in that area. Though that had its benefits on one occasion midway through the first half where about 20 'fans' at the back of 506/507 thought it would be great to do a pretty vile song re: the victim in the Evans case, to the tedious tune that Stevenage and others do. It didn't catch on. Heard the same outside the ground too - hopefully the same bunch of idiots.

I was in 505 and there wasn't too much singing really but I didn't hear the Ched related chants until we'd exited the ground and were heading back up the road to the Green Man, idiots nonetheless.

I was also in 109 near the funny looking 'Dom Littlewood' character, his mate with the comedy shades, and 'Green shirt' who strutted across most of the block for a bout of full-on posturing. Something and nothing, down too much sun, lager, charlie and a big dose of frustration. Was quite impressed by the low key way the stewards dealt with it though. Could teach our lot a thing or two.

When I first started getting taken to the Lane by my dad my mum made him take me on the South Stand so I wouldnt hear the kind of language you got on the Kop. That sort of self segregation seems to have been lost.

gutted for you err.. m'lud
now then .. where is my daily mail

Purely my observations Super. Nowt worse for me than the ultra aggressive 'get behind em' brigade now joined by a massive collection of complete low life youngsters who seem to think following United is all about them. Nowt wrong with a bit of teenage bravado but I am talking about a total and utter lack of respect - as shown mainly by the Ched singing. Winds me up - yep its sounds all Daily Mail ish but I honestly aint that way inclined.

I've had some great days out this term, not ruined by this element of scum - maybe they all turned out for Wembley - but I 100% stand by what I say about the significant minority of our support who to me are a complete and utter disgrace.

Can't let that one pass, Mic. Leeds? Wolves? Cardiff? etc. etc. It should have read:

'we have the biggest collection of scumbags in our country.'

This Is England. Show the average neaderthal hot weather + too much ale + 'big event' and you'll see them in their flabby element.

In a couple of days, we'll have Joo-blee Weekend and they'll be out in force. Every long-lost distant relative of Karen Matthews* will indulge in a typical, joyous English weekend. Look out for the odd random murder, assaults etc. on Monday's Look North.

*spot the difference.
